Home Blogger: Housewife delights Instagram with simplicity

Amid countless photos boasting international travel, branded clothing, and portraits emphasizing social status, Camilla Fernanda dos Santos🇧🇷 The 35-year-old housewife has gained more than 40,000 followers on Instagram sharing the corners of her home in Guarulhos and her life with her husband and three children.

“Simple is also beautiful.” It is the phrase that names your profile on the social network. In it, Milla, as she prefers to be called, shows how she organizes her home, her children’s toys, the recipes she makes for lunch and even teaches how to make decoration items that she produces herself.

When asked why she created the profile, she laughs. “Sincerely? I landed on Instagram,” she revealed to CLAUDIA🇧🇷 “I did it to occupy my head, to get away from the routine of being a housewife. He had no grand pretensions. I think if I had any intention, it would not have worked out.”

Milla is the mother of three children, two girls aged 15 and 8, and a baby aged 1 year and 6 months. A few years ago she decided to stop working so that she could take care of the house and educate the children. “I get on their toes. I had no mother to look after me. I couldn’t finish my studies, so I want them to study so they can get a job,” she says. “Bringing children into the world is easy, but educating them is difficult”, she adds.

The livelihood of the house comes from her husband, who works on his own in civil construction. It is not always easy and difficulties arise. “I don’t have food in the fridge sometimes. But I have to stay strong for them. And smile. Be happy, after all, I’m alive.”

And it is precisely this motivation that inspires his followers. Daily, Milla receives several messages from women who share her life stories and thank her for being an inspiration. “These are people who are discouraged with their house and like my affection with my things. They are inspired, excited”, says Milla. “These are life messages, I don’t have followers, I have lives”, she declares.

To bring the feeling of motivation even further and show that it is possible to be happy even leading a simple life, Milla always writes a positive message in the captions of her photos. The kindness and purity of the housewife charmed even the actress Patricia Pillar and Mariana Belem, daughter of Fafá de BelĂ©m. “I never imagined that a housewife like me, who doesn’t even have the money to invest in Instagram, would gain so much attention,” she says.

difficulties and discouragement

However, not everything is perfect. At first, it was difficult to maintain the profile on the social network. “I spent seven months talking to the walls, without anyone liking the comments”, reveals Milla. As is common on the internet, she has already received several offenses. “Wow, aren’t you ashamed of posting these pictures of poor people?”, was one of them. This led her to spend two months without publishing anything.

At the same time, financial difficulties plagued their home. Her children and husband got sick and what money the family had was spent on medicine and gasoline for transportation to the hospital. “It is very difficult to smile when everything is hurting. I kill a lion a day to survive”, says Milla.

To try to raise money to keep paying the bills and household demands, Milla opened a small business, with some goods she had at home. The return was slow. She earned, on average, R$10 a day. But she managed to ensure that her children lacked nothing.

“It’s difficult. Really hurts. I see my husband’s clients with many different clothes, while my children only have two types: the one for staying at home and the one for going out, because they can’t be ashamed to leave the house, right?

And even so, he didn’t give up his online profile. A voice said in her heart that she had to go back, because it was good for her and for other people. “I did not victimize myself on Instagram, no. Quite the contrary, I prefer to tell people that I am going through difficulties, but that I am strong”, she declares with emotion.

Dreams

Now, Milla’s biggest dream is to be able to invest in commerce and work with it to help her husband support the children and the house, while keeping an eye on the little ones. “I’m mad, see?”, she jokes. “I don’t want them to learn the wrong things from the wrong people.”

Another dream is to be able to invest in your profile on the social network. “I’m gaining a lot of followers, receiving a lot of messages and often I don’t even know what to reply. It’s just my real life you know? I still haven’t learned to fully use it, I need to invest.”

Blogger? Fame? She still doesn’t believe any of it. “I never thought that a housewife who goes hungry would inspire people”, concludes Milla.
