Miniwedding: small wedding is an option to celebrate safely

A little over a year ago, dreaming of the day of wedding it is undoubtedly very different. If there were unforeseen events before, since the beginning of pandemic, they became absolute. Many couples have been forced to postpone the date of party more than once or even canceling the event.

The feeling of frustration is great, but it is still possible to rescue what is essential: love. More intimate, practical and romantic, the miniweddingswhich were already a trend in the sector, stood out as an alternative for those looking for a safe – but no less special – way of making the union official.

′′ The expectation is that, with the vaccine, we will soon be able to act within protocols and with a reduced number of guests. Many couples have planned to get married in large spaces, with a maximum of 20 guests, even on dates in 2022”, comments event decorator Maria Pietroforte (@maria_pietroforte_decor), which was inspired by the style garden wedding for this scenario produced especially for CLAUDIA, at Fazenda Alvorada (@fazenda.alvorada), in Sorocaba, in the interior of São Paulo.

The decorator points out that, in addition to reducing the guest list, professionals in the area need to pay greater attention to the setting of the event. An outdoor space, armchairs instead of long benches or chairs glued together, individual plates and the absence of a candy table and dance floor are some of the many adaptations made for the occasion.

The Flamboyant Garden, one of the open-air areas of the Farm, helped to create a safer setting for the occasion. In addition to being airy, the spacious environment allowed the velvet armchairs to be arranged with a generous distance, so that only people who already live with each other on a daily basis were closer in the arrangement of the seats facing the altar.

“Called a nave, this region is usually surrounded by flowers, but, with the distance, the option was to add them next to the armchairs, leaving the empty spaces less evident”, explains Lorena Baroni Bósio, art director at CLAUDIA and wedding stylist, who helped produce this editorial to inspire eager brides and grooms.

all in tune

Following the highlight of the flowers in the ceremony space, the party table, for only eight guests, also gained a floral touch. “The floor arrangement gives the feeling that he was born there. On style gardenthe foliage gains prominence, creating arrangements with more organic designs”, details Maria.

Porcelain tableware, hand-painted by the artist Gracinha Carvalho, from By Grace (@bygracecarvalho), inspired not only the tones of the arrangements, but also the cake, prepared by the confectioner Isabella Suplicy. “The painting brings flowers and fruits, allowing a versatile decoration. I see dishes as jewels at the table; I added gold brushstrokes to the branches of the design to bring the refinement that the occasion deserves”, explains Gracinha about the pieces.

In addition to the presence of shades of green, pink and a touch of marsala, the table also has gold in the details, such as the bowls and sousplats. In place of a traditional tablecloth, the centerpiece of the table is made up of a silk velvet path, laid out with a relaxed and modern look, softening the sophistication of the fabric.

new meanings

On a miniwedding, the art of welcoming guests is found in the smallest details. In place of a conventional menu, the menu is presented on 100% cotton paper with handmade edges. Produced by Renato Loose, designer and illustrator of Carta Casa (@cartacasa), each received handwritten texts, ensuring a personalized touch.

Without a table dedicated to them, the sweets are offered in boxes by the confectioner Júlia Lima, from Petite Fabrique Pâtisserie (@petitefabrique🇧🇷 “The bonbons have a longer shelf life and withstand the heat.”

The feast, prepared by chef Dani Padalino, from Banqueteria Nacional (@banqueterianacional), was thought to be served on a plate, avoiding the buffets. “We take the traditional island to the guest table. The domes and mini crockery, which were out of fashion, are back, because they complement the safe and individualized service”, he explains about the choices, also designed to match the delicate aesthetics of the party.

The chef’s signature is contemporary and authorial Brazilian cuisine. She included elements that represent a country wedding in the dishes, such as edible flowers, vegetables, coffee and honey. The ingredients even gain a creative look, as in the case of shrimp cylinders and cappuccino mousse, whose presentation resembles a terrarium.
