The heavy rain that falls in São Paulo this Saturday afternoon (6), with lightning and windstorms, caused the festival to be interrupted Lollapalooza, held at the Interlagos Racetrack. Although at the festival the rain has not yet fallen with intensity, the forecast is for a storm.
On Twitter there are reports of Fire Department officials alerting the public and taking appropriate measures to ensure the safety of fans and artists.
The areas close to the stages were evacuated, but the public remains inside the Autódromo, in the expectation that the shows will be held again. There is a possibility that some presentations will have to be cancelled. Rapper Rashid, whose show was interrupted, is not expected to return to the stage.
Show return forecast
In an interview with the Multishow channel, Fernando Altério, president of T4F, the producer responsible for Lollapalooza Brasil, said that the expectation is that the storm will pass in about an hour, and the shows can be resumed.
The production company is trying to organize a special transport scheme so that no shows are canceled and people can go home safely at the end of the day.
The festival started on Friday (5) and continues until Sunday (7).
