Letter to tell you everything I never could, my impossible love

When I saw you for the first time I knew that it would be impossible to escape safe from your smile, from the shine of your small eyes that hide behind huge glasses… and from your light. It was almost impossible that I could not resist the magic that you instantly transmit. and your energy that can almost be hugged.

When I saw you for the first time, one of those moments that you read so much about in books happened, time stopped when you took my hand and told me your name, nothing else mattered what my mind was memorizing in that second, the features of your face, the feel of your skin… your name.

I realized that you are one of those people that you should not get lost in life, that you should let in and allow it to soak you with the waves of its sea. That’s how you are. But I wasn’t for you.

I never thought I would end with your energy impregnated in mine, with your enthusiasm and your look in my heart; I never thought it would be the beginning of a small pang in my soul, of a fleeting love, an impossible one, one where it wasn’t you but I really wanted it to be.

Because you are the 100 percent perfect boy for me but I am not the 100 percent perfect girl for you, at least not in this life and, because of that big difference, it is why we will never meet again.

I always compare you with the sea, with the beach, especially with the waves; strong, overflowing and intense waves. Those that invade you and envelop you but, when the tide goes out, fill you with calm and serenity, because they become that place where you will always want to see the sunrise.

I know it wasn’t you, much less it was me. It was fate that decided that in this life it would not touch us and, although my heart is about to explode, I know that at least we met once, in this life and on this plane; You exist and you are out there with your small eyes, hands in your pockets, tattoos on your fingers… but being the water from another place.
