Precautions when using ammonia

Ammonia, sometimes simply called ammonia, is a cleaning product consisting of a solution made from ammonia gas diluted in water. It can be used as a kitchen degreaser, for cleaning glass, tiles and wood, and as a stain remover method.

Despite being a very efficient product, mainly in removing the most encrusted fat, it offers some dangerous to our health.

Ammonia vapors produce irritating effects on the respiratory system, which can cause coughing, edema in the larynx and lungs, attacks of bronchitis and inflammation, as well as nausea. In liquid form, it can cause skin and eye burns.

Because of this, it is recommended to always wear gloves when handling ammonia, in addition to keeping windows open to ventilate the room. Another care is never to mix it with bleach (in fact, any mixture with bleach can be very dangerous).

It is also worth remembering that all cleaning products must be kept out of the reach of children and animals.
By following these precautions, you can take advantage of the cleaning power of ammonia to make your life much easier.
