In Norway, celebrities will have to point out photo retouches

Blemish-free skin and body modifications are some of the features offered by filters and worked on in photo edits. As most of the times the changes are not easily noticed, which generates an illusion for the observer, in Norway, a law was passed to change this relationship between personalities and the public.

Now, famous and influencers who do some kind of retouching on their images must disclose what edits were made to the image. The new norms demand that the post published in the social network with editions of size, shape or skin will have to contain the standard message of the Ministry of the Child and the Family to avoid bodily distortions in the online environment of interaction.

If the profile does not comply with the law, it will be fined. The cost should increase with how often the rule is broken. If the influencer persists anyway, he could be arrested.

Despite the measure, the Ministry of Children and Family is aware that the law can be difficult to apply, since the effects on videos and photos are often difficult to perceive.
