I want to be able to love you this way, every day of my life

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to love as much as I never thought I could.

This is a collection of words for any human being, regardless of whether you are currently in a relationship, or are saving space in your life for wonderful, fulfilling, heart-breaking love.

How do we define love? Legend has it that love is supposed to fade with time. The honeymoon is apparently supposed to end. But with us, it continues to burn brighter.

Because of this, there are a few things I want you to know about me. Let him know about us.

I want to love you in a way that makes people ask us if we’re engaged when we’ve been together for decades.

I want to love you in a way that even when we fight, we always feel connected to each other’s hearts.

I want to love you in a way that even if we both got two weeks of sporadic sleep, our love would still shine through the cracks of our ill-will.

I want to love you in a way that makes it easy for us to communicate about absolutely everything – sex, death, philosophy, fears and dreams.

I want to love you in a way that prioritizes connection, depth and intimacy over ego, emotional contraction and the silent treatment.

I want to love you in a way that allows us to do sweet, thoughtful, romantic things to each other just because. There will be no holidays on the calendar needed for us to show our love for each other.

Through the troubles, loss, sadness and inevitable ups and downs of life that will challenge us individually and as a couple, I will be there to love you with a degree of intentionality that I would previously only have dreamed of.

I know I will inevitably screw up sometimes and let some jealousy get in the way of the light of my heart, but this is my goal. This is my intention.

I want to be able to love you like thisevery day.
