I love you just the way you are, without additives, with your strengths, but also with your defects. With everything that makes you you and carries your trace, the one that I know a little more every day and that keeps the flame of this feeling alive.

Thank you for being you. For showing yourself as you are: sometimes with fear, other times with strength and sometimes with the desire to make people laugh and turn every moment into a moment to remember.

Thank you for staying, for being there, despite everything, for ignoring prejudices and for freeing yourself from the traps of expectations. Thank you because I know that it is not always easy: sometimes for me, sometimes for you, for us or for what happens in general. Thank you for your patience.

Thanks for being the way you are, for teaching me that love is much more than smiling happily, that understanding and betting on what one feels has a meaning: strengthening the “we”. Because, sometimes, you bring me down from heaven and help me put my feet on the ground, because you don’t sugarcoat reality. Because you teach me to love you slowly and day by day you express it to me.

Thank you for your bravery, for opening up to me from the beginning. You are my greatest example of improvement, of improving oneself, of fighting and moving forward. I admire you.

Thank you for loving me when I don’t deserve it, for accepting me despite my wounds, despite my failures, for holding my hand. Because you accept my limitations and little by little you are teaching me to love what I call defects, but you insist on looking at them from another side. You help me grow in the broadest sense.

I’m not going to deny it, I like to know that you accept my demons, my darkest parts and that instead of fearing them, you dare to caress them. You never stop teaching me that everything I have experienced, everything I have experienced, has been necessary to get here, to get to you.

Looking into your eyes sends me through a whirlwind of intense emotions. Just a brief smile from you fills my life with radiance and joy. Until the day I met you, I had never felt so full of hope and passion. I want you to know that I will always be grateful to be with you. I like to move forward by your side, whatever it may be: When it’s sunny, storms threaten or it rains like there’s no tomorrow. Having you is a gift that I want to keep forever. Because You teach me that the simplest is the most valuable. Have you ever thought about how much of a teacher you are? I can’t stop thinking about it every day…

I love listening to you, especially, when you go on and on talking and explain to me everything that a topic we are talking about entails. If I have doubts, you solve them for me, and if you can’t, you accept it and express it to me.

I love watching you: asleep, awake, walking, driving… There is no way he can resist me. Looking at you is approaching you from silence, getting to know you through your gestures and connecting with the deepest of my feelings. I’m not lying to you: when I do it, a beautiful and intense inner feeling towards you invades me.

Your intelligence amazes me, but if there is something that fascinates me, it is all the sensitivity you have. and that you only show at times. Although your seriousness is also necessary and your nonsense much more so. They are your brand, your footprint, what gives you away and makes you be you and not someone else.

And what can I tell you about your sincerity, your great capacity for understanding, I’m sorry but it’s not that easy to find someone like that. You know how to be home: at your side it is easy to feel protected and calm.

I love you like this, without more. On your gray and sunny days, because despite wanting to see you smile, I understand that it is not always possible. You also get tired, reluctance and disappointment enter through the door. I just want you to know that I also want to accompany you there, even if it is in silence; I want to hold you tight through the good times and the bad.

Also I love you when you get angry, when you get upset and reason gets the better of you. That’s how it is. We all do them. It’s another way to get to know you, to know about you, to show yourself to me. To know your limits, your wounds and your emergency zones. Even when you prefer to take distance to compose yourself, reflect and decide what to do.

I love you for listening to me. I love you for letting me know how much you care. I love you for holding my hand. You are the best thing that has ever happened to me and I will never stop loving you. Gratitude is not enough to realize how I feel for showing up at my side and showing me the way.

With you it’s easy. You are not determined to be perfect, at least with me. For all this and more I choose you every day, moment by moment. Because I love you just the way you are. My only wish is to accompany you in this small universe that we have created, both when it is good and when it is bad. Record that with fire.
