With the aging of facial structures, there are cases in which the cheek sags (bulldog appearance).
WHY DO “BULLDOG CHEEKS” ARISE?
The change is also called “face melting” and is especially correlated with natural aging and sagging skin. The bulldog cheek occurs due to a sliding of the fat pads (compartments) of the face. It also becomes more pronounced due to the looseness of tissues, both muscle tissue and sagging skin due to lack of collagen.
MORE EFFECTIVE TREATMENT
The most effective treatment available today is the Atria microfocused ultrasound, which acts ultra-fast on all causes of bulldog formation and is generally performed in one session. The treatment has very low levels of pain and does not require rest, so that the patient can return to work immediately after the session.
Atria acts in three stages of the formation of bulldog cheeks.
The first is related to the accumulated fat in the region. Ultrasound heats the fat to 65ºC, promoting its degradation, and this is extremely important for improving the contour of the face.
The second point is because technology also acts on the musculature. Heat applied to the muscle plane causes tissue retraction, promoting a lifting effect on the skin.
It also acts on the skin promoting neocollagenesis, that is, the formation of new collagen. With this, there is a repositioning of the tissues, which improves the contour of the face and treats the problem, ‘lifting’ the structures.
This medical technology is the only one on the market that delivers ultrasound energy in a pulsed manner (intermittent radial coagulation) and associates two tips, in a scanner and in an ultrasonic pen, to promote a double effect of heating and coagulation.
