How to make a hair growth schedule and have healthy wires

Hair growth is a recurring subject in the female universe, even for women who prefer shorter hair. That’s because when we talk about hair growth, we talk about hair health. To explain to us about it, we invited hair therapist Silvia Dias, who in addition to clarifying many doubts, teaches how to make the hair schedule for ideal growth. Check out!

What is hair growth schedule?

Getting good hair growth requires a certain investment of time and care for your hair and scalp, basically building a routine. But what is a hair growth schedule?

Also known as the rapunzel project, according to Silvia, the “hair schedule consists of the knowledge and needs of the scalp and hair shaft, and this goes far beyond simply homemade recipes with food. In a schedule, one understands the real needs of a hair, such as hydration, nutrition and reconstruction”. That is, before starting your care routine, it is important to know your hair to know what it needs most at that moment, so that its growth is healthy and meaningful.

In addition, Silvia says that the growth schedule is for “all types of hair, as long as you understand what you really need”. For this, in addition to knowing the needs of your hair, it is always good to know your body. Often, the lack of a nutrient or vitamin in the body can disrupt hair development and even cause severe falls. In these cases, see a doctor.

Hair growth schedule steps

In every schedule there are several steps to be fulfilled, in the schedule for hair growth it is no different. Silvia explained the best step by step to be carried out, check out the process:

Scalp hygiene

According to the specialist, this step is essential for a hair growth schedule, as it is a special care routine “requires the use of cosmeceutical shampoo. Different from cosmetics that only serve to clean, beautify and perfume, the cosmeceutical shampoo with treatment assets such as essential oils, clays and green tea, for example, has therapeutic action to help balance the scalp and stimulate hair growth. ”, says Sylvia.

In addition, the therapist explains that “the ideal is to have constant hair hygiene on the scalp at least three times a week”, basing the rest of the schedule on washing.

Capillary hydration

Most likely, hydration is the most famous form of treatment among hair care. According to Silvia, hydration “serves to maintain the natural moisture of the hair, for devitalized, dry and lackluster hair”. For this, it is necessary to use “water-based assets, which also have vitamins and amino acids”.

But contrary to what many think, “hydration is not taking water to the hair, because that doesn’t exist”, says Silvia. “A hydrating cream will always be a lighter, smoother, water-based cream, so it’s weightless. Always with some vitamin, such as vitamin A and ceramides in its composition. It will play this role to keep the hair’s natural moisture, we don’t take water into the hair”, explains the specialist.

In addition, the hair therapist talks about how the schedule protocols should start. “Always with hydration, which can be done twice a week”, she recommends.

hair nutrition

When we talk about hair nutrition, Silvia explains that we are talking about “nourishing and nourishing” the hair. “The nutrition process is to nourish with vitamins, amino acids, collagens and oils. It works for porous, rough and unbalanced hair”, says the specialist.

In addition, the hair therapist also discusses the confusion that can occur between the terms “nutrition” and “humectation”, which despite having the same function, are differentiated by the fact that nutrition itself is carried out with a cream more full-bodied as a base, with “more amino acids and collagen” comments Silvia.

The wetting is done only with vegetable oils. “The term nutrition and wetting are actually the same protocols or services. But, in nutrition, we will have assets based on vitamins and amino acids. Humectation comes from greasing, smearing, that is, passing vegetable oils for this purpose. Of course, I can use it in nutrition as well, but in this case, the wetting serves to seal the wires, give them flexibility, silkiness and balance”. explains the expert.

A warning is given by the professional: “it has to be the vegetable oil itself, cold pressed. No cooking oil! You can use jojoba oil which is very good for hair, sunflower oil and grape seed oil, for example.” However, Silvia indicates where to fit nutrition into the schedule: “once a week is ideal for nourishing or moisturizing products suitable for the hair and scalp”.

Reconstruction

“Reconstruction comes from the term rebuild, repair. It serves in cases of chemical processes such as locks, relaxation and elastic hair”, explains the specialist. But despite currently being the darling of women, the hair therapist adds: “in the products for reconstruction there is a greater amount of hydrolyzed keratin, and collagen, which will not have much effect on dry, lackluster, without balance and brittle hair. , which needs much more hydration and nutrition”.

And that’s exactly why the expert recommends that, over the course of a calendar month, the reconstruction is carried out only once. “During the month, you can do the hydration protocol twice a week and nutrition once a week for 3 weeks, and in the last week, do a reconstruction, nutrition and close with hydration”, indicates Silvia.

In addition, he adds “the reconstruction is for cases that really need it, as is the case of chemically processed hair, elastic hair. In a capillary schedule, if I don’t use a straightener, a hairdryer, if my hair is not elastic and doesn’t have any chemistry, it’s not necessary to put on reconstruction”.

It is extremely important to understand not only your hair type, but also what it needs to grow healthy and strong. “A capillary schedule is much more than the ones we find made for everyone. That’s why we shouldn’t base ourselves on these hair schedule recipes that you have on the internet, but create a hair schedule according to the real need of each situation and each hair, “says Silvia.

Table for hair growth schedule

With all these steps and tips, surely you were in doubt about how to set up an ideal schedule for your rapunzel project. Of course, each hair will have a special need, but Silvia left a schedule that can be used by most people, and you can adapt it as you see fit. Below is the schedule for the first three weeks of care:

  1. Second: as the therapist herself said, it is “ideal to have constant hair and scalp hygiene”, with that, she indicates that the hair is washed at least 3 times a week, with cosmeceutical shampoos, as mentioned earlier. With the hair washed, start the protocol performing a good hydration.
  2. Fourth: again, clean the hair with a cosmeceutical shampoo “with treatment assets such as essential oils, clays and green tea, with therapeutic action to help balance the scalp and stimulate hair growth”, says Silvia. . Once this is done, you can choose to perform a new hydration, or nutrition, with suitable products.
  3. Sixth: in case you had a hydration on Wednesday, follow the protocol by performing a nutrition, and vice versa. Always remembering to clean your hair and scalp beforehand.

After the first three weeks are over, it’s time to modify your schedule. Check out the care routine for the last week of the month:

  1. Second: with clean hair, it’s time for a reconstruction. Choose products according to your hair needs.
  2. Fourth: Now it’s time for nutrition. Opt for good creams and add vegetable oils, or just do a wetting, to restore the nutrients of your hair.
  3. Friday: end the month of protocols by performing a good hydration, to restore and maintain the natural moisture of your thread.

An important tip for this whole care routine is: “hair growth comes from the scalp. What is used, in these cases, are products based on essential oils, clays, green tea, products based on caffeine and biotin”, explains the practitioner.

In addition, the specialist still reveals a trick “after a beautiful hydration, you can do a wetting to create a protective barrier so you don’t lose natural moisture easily”. Did you write it all down? So get ready to start your rapunzel project, and have the long hair of your dreams!
