If you drink, don’t work out
Making some effort before the minimum period of 12 hours of rest, such as running on the beach, will compromise your physical vigor and motor coordination. “Alcohol acts as a relaxant, which can interfere with muscle strength and the timing of movements, not to mention that it is toxic to neurological tissue, leaving you prone to fatigue”, says Sangion. More: the substance inhibits the production of antidiuretic hormone (ADH), which makes us go to the bathroom more often. Therefore, working out in this situation will cause you to lose even more water and mineral salts, which increases the risk of dehydration.
