How to cure raw morals

The morning after an intense party can be uncomfortable. The headaches, disgust and general discomfort that accompanies the famous “raw” can keep us lying in a chair for hours and hours. For this evil there are many remedies, and we all know that it is something temporary, but there is a greater consequence to the night of excesses, one that does not disappear so easily: crude morality.

It is that emotional discomfort that we get when we deeply regret what we did the night before. In many ways it is worse than physical hangover, especially because it usually involves other people.

It can give you raw morals when, because you are intoxicated, you do, say or show inappropriate things to others. Some examples are hooking up with your best friend’s boyfriend, crashing your parents’ car, or yelling uncomfortable truths at your boyfriend in front of all of his friends.

But, like physical discomfort, raw morality has its cure, and these are some tips we have for you to eradicate it completely.

1. Apologize

Nobody likes to ask for forgiveness, but showing your face is essential to cure the discomfort. Visit your boyfriend, friend or family member who you hurt and show your face. Apologize profusely but don’t make excuses for your actions, by which time everyone will probably know that alcohol was the cause of your problem.

2. Talk to someone

Find the person you trust most at the party and ask them to fill in your mental gaps. It’s hard to vindicate yourself if you don’t know what you did.

3. Repair the damage

If you affected other people’s property, repair it! Buy, paint, or fix whatever you damaged in your crazy night. It’s important to replace what you spoiled (this usually means buying glasses from the party hostess).

4. Learn from your mistakes

Analyze what happened during the party that caused your behavior. You probably don’t want to feel that way again, so it’s important to find out when you lost control. Don’t let your party get to the point of hurting others again.

5. Don’t spank yourself

We all go through those moments. Your friends love you enough to forgive you for the mistake. Just remember not to make it a habit, because no one likes to deal with the “malacopa”.

Try to control your alcohol consumption. It happens to all of us at some point in our lives, but remember that drinking too much can be dangerous. Besides, what’s the point of partying if you don’t remember it? Find that moment when you should stop drinking during the night and stick to it, your body and your friends will thank you.
