About the combination of the sock and the sneaker, the consultant Flávia advises: “There are no problems with this type of combination, as long as it is used with a skirt or dress. With social pants or jeans, this duo doesn’t look cool”. On harmonizing the colors, she adds: “Avoid exaggeration of colors. In this case, the best is the pantyhose and the sneaker in the same color (preferably black), or tone on tone”.

The boots with the pipe at the ankle, are called ankle boot and are shoes that save any wardrobe in winter. These shoes can be more sophisticated with a thin heel or heavier if they are half-paw style, with thick heels or laces.

These shoes combined with socks and short skirts are perfect for partying. For the coldest days, Flávia recommends choosing thicker socks, 40 or thicker. About the colors she says: “On the combination of colors between ankle boot and socks, the rule of equal or close colors between the sock and the boot works”.

High-top boots for everyday wear

High-top boots for everyday use are usually determined by their lack of heels or because they have thick heels. These shoes are typical for winter and great options to keep your feet warm with comfort.

Consultant Flávia indicates that in these combinations, tights are the best option, but also warns that 7/8 or ¾ socks can create a look that is too young. Therefore, it is safer to bet on tights, prioritizing the tones of the sock and boot to interact.

Short ankle boots for the night

For a relaxed evening event or clubbing, ankle boots create a fatal look. These boot models leave the shape of the legs more exposed and the cold can be alleviated with socks. The smaller the thickness of the stocking, the skin is more evident and provides more sensuality to the look.

This combination of the lower part of the body with funky t-shirts and blazers are very suitable looks for the club. The shoes and socks of the same colors cause the sensation of stretching the legs, and Flávia reinforces that in these cases the colors can be the same or close.

High-top night boots

The high heels and thin toes commonly found in high boots, added to the tights, provide a very sexy look. This footwear requires a lot of attention in its combination with the pieces of the look, as it can easily produce a loaded look with excess information or create proportions that are unfavorable.

To prevent possible slips, the safest bet is black. Over-the-knee boots, which are above the knee, are on trend and provide a warm and modern look. All-black looks can be enhanced by obvious accessories and colorful or beaded clutches.

Scarpins are the most popular closed-toe shoes used at formal events such as weddings and graduations, but they are also often seen in institutional settings. The combination with the pantyhose provides an even more formal look and suitable for work.

Flávia indicates that it is interesting to combine shoes with skirts or dresses, even if the sock is thinner. The consultant also warns that this combination should be avoided with social pants.

Printed tights: inspirations and tips

Given the numerous models and colors of tights, printed tights also stand out. They can have many variations in the prints, being able to have only one color or be colored.

Socks that have only one color are distinguished by the prints that are often textured and applied to socks with less thickness. Socks are commonly printed by geometric designs in different sizes and hearts. Also in this category are socks that have a checkered, zigzag and lace effect.

Even in socks that have only one color, it is common to find socks that reproduce garter belt designs on the skin or 7/8 sock. However, socks can also unite several colors and in this category white socks with colorful prints, such as flags of other countries, drawings of space objects, hearts, stars, florals or animal prints are popular.

When assembling the look, it is important to note that this piece carries a lot of information and should be combined with more neutral and preferably smooth pieces.
