How to care for your wife/girlfriend when she has menstrual cramps

If you’ve ever wondered what to do to help your wife or girlfriend when she has menstrual cramps, I suggest you buy something I like to call a “care basket”.

It’s a small basket with her favorite chocolates, a book (if she likes it), hot tea or milk and a hot water bottle as well.

Every month your loved one has constant abdominal cramps that are sometimes so severe that it is impossible for her to sit up straight. Therefore, a small gesture to alleviate this pain will always be greatly appreciated.

Whenever my wife has cramps, I give her a hot cup of tea while she watches her favorite Netflix shows. It’s different for every woman, of course.

Try to make the first three days as comfortable and easy for her as possible. When the pains increase, it dramatically affects mood and appetite. So you can expect your loved one to get stressed, have sudden outbursts of anger towards you, but don’t worry, it’s nothing personal.

Your little gestures of love and kindness will always make her smile. You can make her feel happier just by being with her watching Netflix while snuggling together under the sheets.

It’s those precious little moments that make hard times bearable. As a boyfriend or husband, you need to be more present during difficult times in her life. She’s a strong woman, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t need support.

Colic is different for every woman, but they all need love, affection and a “care basket”.
