The purpose of this Free Course is to introduce you to the great field of study called Psychology. Whether you are new to the area or want to know even more about the subject, this Online Psychology Course is for you! Here you will learn about “what is psychology”, the history of psychology in the world and in Brazil, learn more about important psychologists and psychologists, in addition to discovering key concepts in the area.

My personal goal with this free course is to share a little bit of the knowledge I acquired for free at the Faculty of Psychology at the Federal University of São João del-Rei.

What is psychology? The beginning

In our first text, we are going to talk about what psychology is, we will make a brief history of psychology, with the main perspectives of modern psychology (the so-called 3 great forces: behavioral psychology, psychoanalysis and humanism).
