where to plant
Not having a backyard is not a problem. Planting can be done in any corner, as long as it has good natural lighting.
“It is essential that the space receive sunlight for about 2 to 4 hours a day for the plant to grow in a healthy way”, says Catê.
Planting can be done directly on the ground or in pots. For the second option, the containers must be at least 30 x 30 cm.
what to plant
For those who are starting out in planting techniques, the essential thing is to start with plants that are easy to grow, such as spices. Basil, rosemary, sage, lemongrass, oregano and thyme are all great options.
“Irrigation must be done every day so that the soil is always moist and the leaves can be harvested in about two months”, indicates Catê.
Other care
For planting and harvesting to be successful, it is necessary to have a well-fertilized land with a good amount of organic matter.
“It needs to be loose and not clayey or sandy so that the plants are beautiful and well developed”, explains João.
In addition, regardless of harvest time, it is essential to water the plants frequently and, if necessary, use natural pesticides to avoid possible pests.
