Discover brow lamination, a new brow alignment technique

Following the trend of more natural makeup, the eyebrows are no longer over-defined and have gained a wilder and more relaxed look. Understand more about the brow lamination technique, which allows the increase of wires and values the natural shape of your eyebrows!

What is brow lamination?

Brow lamination, translated from English as “laminated eyebrows”, is a non-invasive Russian technique that aims to align the wires. According to micropigmentation specialist Ludmila Bonfim, brow lamination uses specific products to reshape the wires, leaving them more aligned and looking natural.

The threads are composed of keratin, a protein formed by several amino acids, among which is cysteine. Cysteine has sulfur bonds in its composition, which give the wires curvature. Thus, in smooth wires, sulfur bonds occur in smaller amounts and lie side by side.

On the other hand, curly wires have a greater number of connections, making them more angled and resulting in more curved wires. “The basis of brow is to break these bonds between the sulfurs of each wire. Once the connections are broken, the wires become malleable, allowing us to determine the new curvature and direction of the wires”, says Ludmila.
