Children’s party at home: a path of no return!

Sumptuous children’s parties, with large structures and many electronic toys are no longer part of the dream of many parents. Trying to rescue the memory of their own childhood parties, the number of parents who exchanged children’s buffets for their own home as an environment for the celebration is growing.

“The reception from the parents has been the best possible. We usually say that having a party at home is a one-way street (laughs). It is important to remember that having a party at home does not necessarily mean that parents will need to get their hands dirty. There are specialized companies that build all the necessary structure for an affective celebration, also allowing parents to enjoy the party without worrying”, recalls Luana.

The domestic environment can be quite challenging for the organization of the party, especially with regard to the entertainment of the little guests. “There is already such intense contact with electronics in the children’s routine, why take them to parties too? The main characteristic of a playful and affective party is to get the children to play! Leaving aside electronic devices, this party concept rescues games from our childhood, such as jumping rope, hopscotch and challenges for the imagination. The objective is to put them to exercise their mind and body”, says Luana.

The owner of the buffet also reveals that she no longer recommends renting inflatable toys. “The focus of this party model is movement, and inflatable toys end up dividing children. While a small group plays, the others are idle. Today we recommend hiring professional entertainers to develop different activities and games that involve all children”, she said. Professionals can develop workshops according to the theme of the party, in addition to scavenger hunts, face painting, treasure hunts and sculptures with balloons.

For those who don’t have space at home or a ballroom available, the play houses can be an excellent option. “This type of space is very playful and is already prepared to receive the little ones, with 0% electronics and 100% imagination. On sunny days, children can take a shower in the hose, have a picnic, play in the sand…”, suggests the specialist.

In this new model of partying, many parents may have doubts about the menu🇧🇷 However, a party at home does not mean a simpler menu, but a party with real food. It is not necessary to adhere to a totally healthy menu without sweets, but with fresh, organic and tasty ingredients.

“Industrialized snacks give way to handmade mini hamburgers, homemade mayonnaise, boiled corn, fruit salads, natural snacks and juices with seasonal fruits. The focus is on serving food made with love,” explains Luana.
