Bet on broccoli to burn calories and improve the intestine –

Remember the commercial about the little boy who begged his mother to buy the vegetable? If he didn’t convince you, the Japanese will. Scientists at Kanazawa University claim that broccoli helps with weight management. Power that comes from the fibers and especially from sulforaphane – a substance that accelerates the burning of calories and favors the good bacteria in the intestine.

The test was carried out on laboratory mice: those who received sulforaphane along with a fatty diet had a 15% lower weight gain compared to the other group, which received the same menu, but none of the blue whiting.

Broccoli doesn’t have to be on your plate every day. Intersperse with other vegetables from the same brassica family (cabbage, cauliflower), in addition to varying the method of preparation: cook or sauté the vegetable and then mix it with brown rice, transform it into soup or soufflé.
