Babies Bakery: Gabriela Fugulin creates recipes designed for children

Majored in Administration, Gabriela Fugulin she worked for 10 years as a bank clerk and, when she became pregnant, she delved into issues related to motherhood, from pregnancy and childbirth to food introduction. And so she noticed the lack of food in traditional markets that met the levels of nutritional quality necessary for children who are starting to feed themselves. It was based on this need that she created the babies bakery🇧🇷

🇧🇷I stopped working to be able to have a more peaceful pregnancy and my idea was to spend at least the first two years with my son, because I know how important early childhood is”, she says. “He was born and I started researching a lot about motherhood, including food introduction. And I’ve always loved cooking, since I was a little girl I made and created recipes at home. Sometimes I went to sell at school and when I worked at the bank, people ordered sweets from me”, adds Gabriela.

She then decided to unite her talent with gastronomy with a vision of the market to cook nutritious breads and cakes, with recipes based on vegetables and ingredients suitable for your child’s age group🇧🇷 “I was going to take him to a little party and there was going to be cake, but I know that up to the age of two it is not recommended to give him sugar, of any kind. So I would make a date cake at home and take it away. And so it was, the mothers began to look and ask about it”, recalls the cook.

When her son turned one year old, Gabriela started to miss working, but she wanted to stay close to the little one. Thus, in September 2017, the idea of ​​opening bread orders came up: “On the same day I had two hundred requests, so I called my mother, who came to help me”. Word of mouth did its job and the Babies Bakery🇧🇷 The disclosure started in a group of mothers on Facebook and the It was so successful that, in January of the following year, she was already preparing the recipes in a kitchen professional tailor-made for bakery🇧🇷

“Since then we have tripled the size of the space and we have several employees, we already serve several cities”, says Gabriela. Today, with more than 50,000 followers on Instagram, the entrepreneur has a variety of products for children and babies, including biscuits, brigadeirinhos and cakes. In addition to sales, the profile on the social network also takes information, free meetings with health professionals and interaction with parents.

The feedbacks were essential for the Bakery of Babies: “They started asking me little tubes, then I developed a healthy tube🇧🇷 They asked for a sweetie, I developed a sweetie. So I’m always listening a lot to what consumers want so we can serve this niche”.

“We have already assisted three generations of children, there are mothers who started with their first child and are now on their third and are still with us, which is really cool. Before, they used to come to my house to pick up the products and nowadays they go to our physical store”, celebrates Gabriela.
