Those who have a pet always ask themselves the same question before taking a trip: “where could my pet stay?” The first thing that comes to mind is leaving it with a family member, friend or neighbor. Or else, pay for a place that has adequate structure to leave you while you are away, but which, in general, is expensive.

Well, know that there is an app that has become very popular in Brazil and in other Latin American countries. This is DogHero, a service similar to Airbnb, only for dogs. It allows you to opt for stays or even pay for someone to take a daily walk with your dog while you are away or working.

The platform was created by Brazilians Eduardo Baer and Fernando Gadotti in 2014. It operates in Brazil, Argentina and Mexico (the photo above is of the Spanish version) and has 19,000 potential hosts. In Brazil, accommodations have a veterinary guarantee (5 thousand reais against any health problem of your friend) and 24h support. The creators of the tool intend to expand the idea to Chile, Peru and Colombia.
