Açaí reduces cellulite and helps you lose weight –

Who knew that this little fruit, extracted from a palm tree, was so powerful. The fact is that the world is watching açaí – known abroad as the Brazilian berry – for being a food that stretches youth. Is your desire to beat cellulite? What makes açaí a special food is the high concentration of anthocyanins. This pigment is what gives the intense purple color, almost black, of the fruit. These fats still help in the slimming process because they stimulate metabolism and, with that, make the body burn more calories. “The fibers, also in abundance in açaí, regulate the intestine. And if it works well, losing weight becomes easier. That is, it is worth eating a portion (the equivalent of a pulp of 100 grams) per day, replacing one of the diet snacks.

Acai still has nutrients (vitamins B1, B2 and E) that improve vision and memory. It is rich in iron, however, as it is not bioavailable, our body cannot absorb it. But there are other qualities in this little fruit. “Because of the anthocyanin (it again), the arteries are free of fat deposits and, thus, cholesterol ceases to be a threat”, explains Lucia Yuyama, food engineer at the National Institute of Amazonian Research (INPA). Anthocyanin even has the power to destroy cancer cells, according to a US study published in the renowned Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry.

Convinced to eat açaí more often? Be careful not to overdo it. Despite such good fats, which help you lose weight, an acai pulp has 110 calories. Is enough! So, if you’re struggling to lose weight, forget about the banana and granola in the traditional recipe (the mixture has about 1000 calories in a large bowl).
