8 Great Movie Villains Who Appeared in Just a Few Minutes

The creation of a cinematic villain is a huge challenge for directors, screenwriters and actors. This is a delicate job, because it is very important that the character, despite being evil, is remembered – and even loved – by the public.

O incredible.club made a list of some of the greatest villains in movie history. Many will never be forgotten, even if they only appeared for a few minutes on the scene.

1. Pinhead (Hellraiser โ€” Reborn from Hell๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ท

The character with a pale face and full of nails embedded in his shaved head was a movie villain who left an important mark in the public’s mind and whose image is usually remembered when talking about cruel characters. We’re talking about Pinhead, from the movie Hellraiser โ€” Hellraiser (1987). The film is based on the book by Clive Barker and tells the story of a puzzle that is said to be a portal to an extradimensional realm, a world of strange creatures, the Cenobites.

Pinhead is the leader of the Cenobites. Along with other villains, he plays on people’s desires and weaknesses until he pushes them to their limits. He was masterfully portrayed by actor Doug Bradley. Although he only appears for 10 minutes, his face was the promotional image for the film.

2. Hannibal Lecter (The Silence of the Lambs๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ท

Another super famous villain, even called the number 1 villain of all time by American Film Instituteis the great Hannibal Lecter, from the movie The Silence of the Lambs (1991). This serial killer is also one of the greatest psychiatrists in the world and he does horrible things to his victims.

Anthony Hopkins’ performance is hats off and earned him an Academy Award for Best Actor. And the most impressive thing is that the actor appears on the screen for only 16 minutes. It doesn’t take away one bit of strength from him. The character is engraved in the viewer’s mind from the first moment he appears. The scenes in which the policewoman, played by Jodie Foster (who also won the Academy Award for Best Actress), interrogates Hannibal in a maximum security prison are breathtaking.

3. Darth Vader (Star Wars๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ท

The completely black outfit, the mask and the deep voice were essential for this character to become one of the most feared in the saga. Star Wars๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ท

Darth Vader was Anakin Skywalker and he grew as a character with each new film, even showing a certain vulnerability and some weaknesses. However, in the first film (1977) he only appears for 12 minutes. But that doesn’t detract from the great acting work of David Prowse and James Earl Jones (voice), who paved the way for the character’s aesthetics and style for the following interpretations.

4. Jigsaw (Deadly Games๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ท

The fearsome Jigsaw is a serial killer who sets deadly traps to test his victims’ will to survive. During Deadly Games (2004), the first film in the saga, the killer’s identity is unknown, which further holds the viewer. Only at the end is it revealed that Jigsaw is, in reality, John Kramer (played by Tobin Bell), a cancer patient who was originally under the care of the protagonist, Dr. Lawrence Gordon.

In a stunning twist, Jigsaw’s lifeless body slowly rises, looks into the camera and reveals himself as the killer. That is, the villain appears on the big screen around 2 minutes.

5. Freddy Krueger (The nightmare time๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ท

Without a doubt, if there is a villain that has terrified millions of people, especially children and teenagers, his name is Freddy Krueger, protagonist of the film The nightmare time (1984). The first film tells the story of Nancy Thompson and her friends, all victims of Freddy. Her first appearance on the big screen takes place in a scene where Tina, one of the girls, is dreaming.

The scene became extremely famous because it is really creepy. But the most intriguing thing is that the villain appears for only 7 minutes. Despite the short time on the scene, Robert Englund, the actor who plays the villain, did an impeccable job, leaving the character engraved in the viewer’s mind forever.

6. Lord Voldemort (Harry Potter๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ท

The antagonist of Harry Potter, the boy who has charmed not just one but many generations, is the fearsome Lord Voldemort. Born as Tom Riddle, this pale-skinned, quirky-voiced villain is just a menace in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (2001), the first film in the saga. They only face each other at the end and very quickly. The curious thing is that this pattern is maintained in almost all films, with the exception of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (2010 and 2011).

Actor Ralph Fiennes was tasked with bringing Voldemort to life. He did a beautiful job and built a cold, cruel and memorable villain. His first appearance takes place in the bedroom. movie, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005), in which he appears for only 15 minutes.

7. Norman Stansfield (The professional๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ท

Gary Oldman is well known for playing villains, and without a doubt Norman Stansfield is one of the best. This character, main antagonist in The professional (1994), is a DEA agent; besides being very intelligent, he is corrupt and unscrupulous.

Despite the short time on the scene, Oldman managed to find the perfect energy to make Stansfield remembered until today as one of the greatest villains in cinema history.

8. John Doe (Seven: The Seven Deadly Crimes๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ท

John Doe (Kevin Spacey), a serial killer who relies on the deadly sins to commit his crimes (and that’s where the film’s name comes from), spends most of his time as an invisible enemy, working in the shadows and playing with the mind of detectives William Somerset (Morgan Freeman) and David Mills (Brad Pitt).

When the cruel John Doe decides to turn himself in to the police, almost 90 minutes of the film have passed. However, the coldness and lack of regret marked by Kevin Spacey’s portrayal make him one of the biggest and craziest movie villains.
