8 Curiosities about the comedian and presenter Fábio Porchat

No, Fábio Porchat is not one of those actors and comedians who have been working in the field since childhood. When he was discovered, during an unexpected participation in the extinct “Programa do Jô” in 2002, he was studying administration in São Paulo — he was 18 years old. “It was there, on that stage, that I discovered what I really wanted to do”, said Porchat in several interviews.

Ask Porchat what he likes to hear, which musician or band he’s a fan of, and the answer will be… “I’m Rita Lee, firm and strong, in my head, always Rita Lee”, says the actor and comedian from 35 years.

If the voice of Olaf, the snowman from the animation “Frozen — Uma Aventura Congelante”, seemed familiar to you, it is because the voice actor of the Brazilian version is Fábio Porchat. “It was the first time I dubbed a drawing, an animation. Four years after appearing on “Programa do Jô”, Porchat got his first job on TV, but it was behind the camera. He was one of the editors of “Zorra Total” (today called just “Zorra”), but later he also started to work in the comedy. In 2008, he appears on screen for the first time, as presenter of “De Perto Nobody is Normal”, on GNT.

Porchat and Paulo Gustavo are not just professional colleagues. The two also studied together. The duo took an acting course at Casa das Artes de Laranjeiras (CAL), in Rio de Janeiro. On social media, he joked with his friend. “This week, I’m going to do the 220 Volts, right, Paulo Gustavo?”, He wrote on Instagram in a photo in which he appeared bald.

Porchat loves to travel. In interviews, she has said that she doesn’t care about money, but that she wants to have enough to travel wherever she wants and wherever she wants.
