Do you suffer from oil, acnes, carnations or stains?! Know that peelings can work wonders for you, as they exfoliate and renew the skin, fighting these annoying signs and leaving the skin of the face much healthier and more beautiful!
And all this without having to spend a lot! Because, although deeper peels are medical procedures that should only be done in the office and with a qualified professional, there are more superficial peels that can be performed at home, with products that are easily found and safe for the skin!
Such peelings promote the so-called exfoliating effect, renewing the skin and providing effects ranging from acne reduction, through the improvement of oily skin and even the whitening of stains and facial rejuvenation!
It is worth betting on these homemade treatments, however, it is good to remember that they do not work miracles and will not improve your skin “overnight”. It is necessary to continue the treatment for a certain period and be patient to see the good results. Also, no exaggeration! Peels should not be applied more than three times a week. Let’s go to the recipes:
1. Homemade sugar peeling with olive oil
Sugar has the power to exfoliate and thus renew skin cells, while extra virgin olive oil penetrates deep into the skin, nourishing and regenerating even the deepest layers. This peeling leaves the skin more beautiful, clear and even helps to smooth small wrinkles.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil
preparation and application
Place the two ingredients in a small container and mix with a spoon until a homogeneous paste forms. Before bathing, apply with light circular massages on slightly damp skin. Take care not to press too hard. The application can be made all over the face with special attention to the eye, neck and mouth area, where the skin is thinnest.
Then, shower normally, without applying soap in the regions where the exfoliation was performed. Do this scrub preferably at night. But, if you do it during the day, apply sunscreen immediately after peeling.
2. Homemade oatmeal yogurt peel
This peeling helps to lighten the skin. The thin flaked oatmeal removes dead surface cells (which are full of melanin), while the lactic acid in yogurt stimulates skin renewal and inhibits the production of more melanin.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon of finely ground oat flakes
- 1 tablespoon of natural yogurt
preparation and application
In a bowl, mix the two ingredients. During the bath, after washing the face with suitable soap, apply the peeling with circular and gentle massages, mainly in the areas of the skin with more stains. Do this for two or three minutes at most. Then rinse well. Dry the skin and apply the sunscreen (if you did the peeling during the day).
3. Homemade Oat Bran Peeling with Papaya
Oat bran removes dead skin cells from the surface of the skin and helps to unclog pores. Papaya enhances the exfoliating effect, providing a complete cleansing of the skin. Olive oil, on the other hand, immediately replaces lost lipids. The result is cleaner, less oily, acne-free and beautiful skin.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon of oat bran
- 1 tablespoon of mashed papaya
- 1 teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil
preparation and application
Mix the ingredients until it forms a paste. After washing your face with a facial soap, and with your skin still slightly damp, apply the mixture in circular motions on your forehead, chin, nose and cheekbone (oily and most acne-affected areas). Finally, rinse your face well with running water.
4. Homemade coffee peeling
A lot of people don’t even know it, but this product that practically everyone has at home is very powerful. For this peeling, you will only use coffee grounds (that’s right, what’s left in the filter when you make the coffee!), which is a miraculous remedy to reduce blemishes, help skin regeneration and activate circulation.
Ingredients
- Coffee grounds (as much as you need to apply on your face)
preparation and application
Wash your face with a facial soap and warm water to open your pores. Take a handful of the coffee grounds and apply with circular movements all over your face, taking care of the eye area. Leave the peeling on the face for a maximum of one minute. Then, just rinse with running water or clean with a cotton with water.
5. Homemade honey and sugar peel
This is a great peeling to reduce blackheads and pimples and help reduce the oiliness of the face. You will need honey – which is bactericidal and antifungal, helping to control blackheads and pimples – and sugar, which acts as an exfoliator.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon of sugar
- 2 tablespoons of honey
preparation and application
Wash your face with facial soap and warm water. In a pot, mix the two ingredients, making a paste. Apply to the face with circular movements, especially where there are more blackheads and pimples. Avoid using the most sensitive areas, such as the mouth and eyes. Rinse well with running water.
This peeling can be done once a week or, at most, twice a week for those with oily skin.
6. Homemade passion fruit peeling
This fruit is rich in vitamin A and, when used in beauty products, it helps to soothe the skin and restore its softness. This peeling helps fight wrinkles, leaving the skin younger and more beautiful, and also reduces skin irritation and redness. The recipe should be used once or twice a week.
Ingredients
preparation and application
In a bowl, remove all the passion fruit pulp with the seeds. Spread the fruit on your face and wait for two to three minutes. Then wash with running water. For hot days, the tip is to use an iced passion fruit in the recipe to give the skin a feeling of freshness.
7. Homemade peeling with coconut oil
This peeling has a rejuvenating effect and leaves the skin much more silky and beautiful, as it uses ingredients rich in antioxidants. The sugar, in turn, does the exfoliation.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon (dessert) honey
- 1 tablespoon (dessert) coconut oil
- 1 tablespoon (dessert) sugar
preparation and application
Combine the ingredients and mix well. Apply to the face by massaging in circular motions and leave for five minutes on the face. Then, wash with running water and mild facial soap.
Now you know that you can achieve incredible effects with homemade peels! But remember that home treatments do not offer immediate results, so it is important to follow a care routine and be patient.
In addition, in cases of more specific complaints, such as, for example, very oily skin or skin with large spots, medical treatment should not be substituted. It is essential to look for a dermatologist who will indicate the most appropriate treatments for each case.
