6 types of fights that help to define the body –

Bodybuilding, biking and localized training will always have a captive audience at the gym, but now women are joining options that are, let’s say, more aggressive against fat girls and in favor of a well-shaped body: boxing, muay thai, MMA and other fights that were previously dominated by boys. From the outside, the activities seem truculent and, despite sometimes causing a bruised shin, the idea is not to get hurt or show that you are stronger than the opponent. Losing weight, relaxing and gaining more health is what you gain when you decide to fight.

Discover how six modalities help transform the body and choose yours.

1. Boxing

It works out arms, shoulders, back and abdomen as well as calves, since in training you jump on your toes while dodging your opponent’s blows. It requires a lot of agility and reflex.

2. MMA

The modality (abbreviation of the English acronym for mixed martial arts) in fashion has already been called MMA and is a mixture of techniques and blows from different fights (boxing, muay thai, karate and judo, among others). The fight takes place inside the octagon, which is nothing more than an eight-sided ring. In a class, you work out your whole body, but you can’t be afraid of falling to the floor.

3. Muay Thai

Also known as Thai boxing, it develops concentration and agility and models lower and upper limbs, as it works punches, high and low kicks and knees.

4. Kung fu

Executed with strength and precision, the blows are inspired by the movements of animals and exercise concentration and focus on breathing. It works the front part of the thigh and the buttocks a lot, since most of the postures are done with the knees bent and the musculature contracted.

5. Jiu-jitsu

Standing movements are intended to throw the opponent to the ground, where most of the fight takes place. The blows – strangulations, twists, legs and arms fitting – aim to immobilize the opponent.

6. Taekwondo

The legs and abdomen are the most used parts in this martial art. To deliver the kicks (which are only valid from the waist up), you need to have a lot of flexibility, balance, strength and speed.
