You overcome your fears by facing them, not ignoring them.
And you can do this because you are not the fear, the thought or the pain: you are the one looking at them. These reflective messages will help you look at your thoughts and feelings without being trapped by them. You can change anything.
These reflection messages are not about working on what you don’t like about yourself. They want to go beyond that, recognizing that you are not what your thoughts try to say you are.
If you start to reflect on all your actions and what you have been saying to yourself during the day, you can understand the origin of your negative thoughts. You will be able to understand yourself better and, from that, trust yourself more.
The loving gaze you give yourself will set you free and uplift everyone around you.
Two keys to positive self-reflection are:
- It’s enlightening to know why you do things, to recognize your triggers, to be clear about what’s going on in your mind and heart.
- Part of you believing that you are enough. Then from there, you can make (worthwhile) changes from a place of compassion and acceptance, not shame.
Reflection is a gift from God to your soul. This allows deeper parts of who you are to come out and be discovered. Makes it possible for you to create something new.
Positive self-reflection is a balance between who you see yourself now and who you see in the future. You take stock of who you are with who you want to be…with love. Always with love.
