18 Seasons of BBB, the most loved and hated program in Brazil

How many times have you looked for scenes from old shows and not found them? Well, it may not seem like it, but the Big Brother Brasil (BBB) ​​already has 18 seasons🇧🇷 The program began airing in 2002, the year it had two seasons. When it was released, many people were still watching it on tube TV and there were no digital televisions. The president was Fernando Henrique Cardoso and Brazil, under the command of Felipão, won a World Cup for the last time with Rivaldo, Ronaldo Fenômeno and Cafu, now all retired.

Although it may not seem like it, it’s been a while since the show first aired.

Known for the catchphrase that became a meme “look at her”, Ana Paula Renault participated in BBB 16. After going through a false elimination, the participant entered the purple and yellow rooms shouting her famous phrase “look at her”, in addition to running across the lawn screaming.

Everyone was in a state of shock: because of her screaming and because, in fact, she wasn’t eliminated. However, after her final departure, Ana Paula still caused controversy with the fact that, despite having two degrees, she had never worked.

Participating in BBB 2, Tina (actually Vanessa Cristina) is remembered for having caused a lot of controversy. In one argument, after losing her cap, she rummaged through all the drawers in a room, throwing the other participants’ clothes to the floor. In retaliation, the men ended up throwing her bags into the pool. Another striking scene was when she was banging on the pots while everyone was sleeping. With so much trouble, she only lasted two weeks on the show.

Solange Cris Couto participated in BBB 4, and became known for her extraordinary version of “We are the world” in a language that she herself created — and this song was not the only one. The constant slips in Portuguese, some confusions and their unique singing were etched in everyone’s memory.

Carolina (Ana Carolina Madeira) participated in BBB 9, an edition that was certainly marked by more confusion. She fought everyone and everything for every reason she was given the opportunity. The candidate managed to participate in five consecutive walls. In one of her famous fights, she decided that she would only clean what was dirty, and then, simply decide to hide the dishcloth in the house.

Serginho Barros, also known as Sr.Orgastic, participated in BBB10. Affectionately nicknamed Peter Pan by Pedro Biel, he was a sweet figure, but also a lot of attention: openly gay, liked to put on makeup and owned an exotic look. The participant was also marked by having declared himself to Fernanda and this caused a lot of discussion on the networks.

The BBB7 became popular for having revealed the first love triangle in reality show, formed by Diego Alemão, Íris Stefanelli and Fani Pacheco. The story began when ‘Alemão’ got tired of flirting with Íris and decided to invest in Fani. Regretful, he approached Iris again and tried to win her over throughout the program. They had everything to become enemies, but they were very close until Iris was eliminated.

Grazi was one of the participants who took off her career after acting on the program. During the course of the reality, she had a relationship with Alan Passos and the couple received a lot of encouragement from viewers. Grazi participated in BBB5 and soon after joined the actors’ workshop at Rede Globo, starting with the soap opera Life pages🇧🇷 It was also nominated for International Emmy 2016 for best actress, and continues to be successful to this day.

Winner of the first edition of the program, he received 500 thousand reais, a high amount even by today’s standards. Bambam became known because of Maria Eugênia, a doll created by him during a test. Viewers didn’t realize it until the production took it away from him. It was then that Bambam, crying, entered the confessional to ask for it back.
