One of the most popular leaders in history, Queen Elizabeth II has a very private personal life. Although British tabloids love to publish news about the royal family, the general population has little knowledge of the personal life of the monarch, whose reign is the longest in UK history.

In February 1945, shortly before the end of World War II, Elizabeth joined the British Army in the Auxiliary Subterritorial Service. There, she trained as a marksman, driver and mechanic. The queen, however, never went to the front.

The Queen participated in a short film with James Bond (Daniel Craig). And she was even voted the best “Bond girl”!

She celebrates her birthday twice a year: on April 21 (with her family) and officially at the beginning of summer (in mid-June). After her birth, Elizabeth was the third candidate for the throne in the line of succession and no one imagined that she would ever become queen. Elizabeth II met her future husband Philip Mountbatten (the Duke of Edinburgh) when she was just 8 years old. She fell in love with him at first sight, but the boy, at first, did not show that these feelings were reciprocated.

Her entire family was opposed to the marriage, but despite everything, she married the man she loved at the age of 21.

His family consists of 4 children, 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. The youngest is great-grandson Louis Arthur, son of Prince William.

For more than half a century, Elizabeth has been wearing shoes of the same make and model. They are made with a small firm heel and, of course, made in Great Britain. Because they are not cheap products, heels are changed frequently so that they last longer.
