We were together as a family and we started talking about faith. My mother, very sure of herself, said: “Nothing in my life has ever happened that made me believe in God.” At that moment, with a loud pop, a cork simply popped out of a wine bottle, as if it were champagne.

When I was very young and still couldn’t speak, I constantly made meow-like sounds. This was a lot of fun, and my parents even recorded my monologues. I’ve already finished school; I graduated from the Academy of Oriental Languages, and recently I found the tape on which my recordings were, among the old things, and decided to listen to them. Amidst all the babbling, there were clearly understandable sentences in Japanese, in which I prayed to the Japanese goddess Inari, the defender of soldiers, to “protect my husband.”

In the middle of the night, my son came to wake us up. He had a bruised face and was crying. The gas hose in the house’s heating system had burst, and if he hadn’t woken up, we would all have suffocated. When everything calmed down, I started treating the scratches on his face, and asked him how he got hurt so badly. He said he was sleeping peacefully, soon someone jumped on his chest and started scratching his cheeks with sharp nails. It was thanks to the pain that he woke up, noticed the strange smell and ran with the intention of calling us. We don’t have any animals due to allergies, but whatever it is… thank you!

I was in another country and I was told that there was a small abandoned castle nearby. I went to see him, and there I met a pleasant gentleman dressed in old-fashioned clothes, who took me on a wonderful tour, where he showed me all the rooms and told me all the legends and stories connected with the place. However… he forgot to mention about the legend of the local ghost… which was himself. When I got back to the hotel, I was told that there are tours only for certain days and the tour guide was a woman. The rest of the time, the castle is closed and strangers are not allowed to enter.

My grandmother dreamed of her father and mother: they walked together, as in their childhood, hand in hand with her. She, realizing in her dream that her parents had died a long time ago, asked them how it was possible that they were there. Her father replied that, in general, everything was fine, but that he just had a cold head and that he needed a hat. The next day, she went to the cemetery with a new hat and saw that there was a well between some of the graves, close to where her father’s head had been. After that, I can’t deny that there’s something else…

I had to accompany a friend, a bus driver, on an overnight trip. At the end of the journey there were no more passengers. On this long-distance trip, at one point, we noticed a roadside rest stop that I didn’t remember being there before. There were people in the place, and my friend, instead of stopping and letting them go up, accelerated and followed. I asked him why he didn’t stop, and he replied, almost in a whisper, that he would explain later.

It would have been better not to have told me. In the place in question, there used to be a point, but one day a drunk driver crashed the bus against the stop and everyone who was there died. Since then, there has been no more bus stop, but the spirits remain in place.

I went to put my 6-year-old son to sleep, told him a story, kissed him and, as I left the room, asked: “Do you want me to leave the light on?”, he replied in a low voice: “What’s the difference, if the darkness won’t disappear, anyway?”. Soon, in the next room, the window was slammed shut by the wind. Result: I slept with my son, with the light on… and holy water nearby.

I always forget my cell phone in the car. Once I got home, I put on pajamas and slippers and was ready to go to sleep, but I realized that I didn’t have my cell phone. I called my cell phone from my home phone to see if I was in the house or in the car, but they answered the call. An obnoxious teenage voice said my number and asked me to leave a message after the beep. I was in shock. I called a second time and they answered almost immediately. It was possible to hear music in the background and breathing, but they didn’t say anything. I ran down the street, deactivated the car alarm, and inside was my cell phone… with 2 missed calls.

We bought an old house away from the urban area, for walks and holidays. I once stayed overnight at the new house with my 2-year-old son. I thought he had woken up and was looking for me, and so I shouted, so he wouldn’t be scared: “Son, I’m here!” I heard him running towards me, and when I got close to the door, he stopped. I called him again, but he was silent. I quickly put on my pants, walked out of the bathroom and there was no one there. My son was sleeping in the bed just as I had left him.

I worked at a summer camp for children. Every night, a girl in my group would go out the window and scream desperately, saying that they were calling her in the field. It was scary. Always, with my colleague, we calmed the girl down and lay down again. Soon, we discovered that the place was an old cemetery and this was not the first time that a child had heard voices in the field.

Today, my 5-year-old son said that when he was in my belly, he saw that one day I ate very salty food and that, because of this, my kidneys started to hurt. I went to the hospital and cried a lot in pain while they gave me injections. And he was in my belly, and he felt sorry for me. I was in shock because I was actually pregnant at the time. I don’t know how he knows. I never told him anything about it.

I live in Guadalajara, Mexico. One afternoon I went out of town to visit friends elsewhere and had to return at 4 am. I spent 2 days without sleep, I was very tired. There was no time to stop and rest, because that day, I had to go back to work. Suddenly, out of nowhere, I opened my eyes after feeling someone patting my head gently. I looked up and saw that my car was parked securely on the side of the road, and the keys were in my right hand. I noticed that I fell asleep at the wheel. I got out of the car staggering like a leaf. I have no idea what it was that saved me.

All my life I lived in Monterrey (Mexico). When I was little, since I was 3 years old, I started seeing a little girl in my apartment. We played together, her name was Veronica. She always said that she was hungry, and that she wanted to eat. She ran into the kitchen with all my strength, grabbed the food and took it to the girl to eat. When I returned, she was never there. When I was 13, a neighbor told me that, before we moved there, a very poor family had lived in the same place. The little daughter, called Veronica, was always complaining of hunger and, before they moved there, she died of unknown causes. More than 20 years have passed and I still remember what my little friend used to tell me.

I finished all the homework early, so I decided to go for a walk with my daughter. We played in the sand and on the swings. Afterwards, I decided to go to a shopping center that was a little far from home. We walked for about 10 minutes when an unknown man slowly walked past us, looked at me intently and, sniffing me with an expression of disgust, said: “turn off the oven”. I was in shock: I remembered that I had left a pot of soup on the fire. I ran home, shaking. The man had already left.

We stayed late at work, my wife and I, and our 5-year-old son was in kindergarten waiting. He was the only one who was still waiting for his parents. We thought he was frustrated, but he was playing with a puzzle.

– Weren’t you mad that you had to wait?

-No, we were playing while I waited.

– With the teacher?

-No, with the boys.

-But… all the others are gone, son.

-No, with the other boys who live in the garden!

I have a friend who is 35 years old and has a family with 4 children. He works as a driver for special vehicles, but he has a phobia: he fears any kind of paranormality, and he cannot even hear about spirits. He says he could even set himself on fire or even throw himself off a building, but he would never face a supernatural experience.

So he went away on business. On the way, she visited a relative to stay one night. In the middle of the night, he woke up because the girl was laughing loudly. He went into her room and she was sitting on the bed. When he asked her why she was awake, she replied that she was playing with her grandfather. At that moment, every hair on her body stood on end. He asked where you were, and she replied “over there”, and pointed into the void. My friend, without thinking twice, took the girl and went to the hospital, in a panic. He could never go on sleeping in that house after what had happened.
