Then they told me: “The job will be yours if you bring a certificate that confirms that you are operated on and that you cannot have others”. © Laddy Naranjo / FacebookI traveled four hours to Valencia for an interview at a German mechanical products company. One of the questions was, “What color are your underwear?” In the room were the person responsible for HR, a supervisor and a director. Husband? Do you like people? What would you do for this job?” © Carmina Luengo Rodriguez / Facebook If I liked coffee. I said yes, and was asked if I was the one who made coffee at home. I said no, that I would like someone else to do it, and they told me: “So you are not independent?” To which I replied: “That’s not what you asked me; you asked if I liked to make coffee. In my work, I don’t depend on anyone for my experience, and blah blah blah.” I got the job. © Oreibys Chaviano / FacebookOnce, I went to an interview and the manager asked me how much a nearby volcano weighed. I wanted to work in a cinema and the interviewer asked me: “From 1 to 10, how would you rate the relationship you have with your mother?” I kept thinking, because I didn’t know how to say that she’s why I’m going to therapy. In the end, I said 8 or 9, thinking that the thing would end there. But not. The next question was: “And why not 10?” To which I replied: “Because I think there are better relations than ours”. They didn’t hire me. © Kenya H. Estrada / Facebook I was once asked if when I rode the bus I counted the cars of a certain color that passed by. I said no, so you wouldn’t think I was crazy. But I guess I should have said yes. They didn’t call me anymore. © Mirla Soto / FacebookIn an interview I was given an analogue watch, not a digital one, and told to look at it carefully. I looked closely at the brand, the size, the lettering, the model. Three minutes later, they took it away from me and asked: “What time did the clock show?” It was the first thing I had seen, because it marked a different time from the real one. I was hired. © Guadalupe Chávez González / Facebook
