15 Marriage Proposals We Don’t Know Whether to Laugh or Cry

When watching a romantic Hollywood movie, many girls immediately start dreaming that one day their prince charming will arrive. He climbs the fire escapes with a huge and beautiful bouquet in his hands, gets down on one knee and asks the long-awaited question: “Will you marry me?”. For some it will be the most romantic moment of their lives, but for others, if something goes differently than planned, it will be a disaster and a total fiasco. What is certain is that, in any case, the moment will be remembered for a long time.

We, from awesome.clubwe believe that for everyone, a marriage proposal is a very special and emotional event, whether it happens in the middle of your favorite band’s concert, in a stadium with thousands of spectators or simply in the bathroom, when touching up your makeup.

My husband proposed to me several times and the first time was right after our first kiss, when we had only been dating for a month! He simply stated with absolute certainty, “Since we are going to get married, why not now?” The last request was even more unusual. On the eve of Valentine’s Day I spent the night at a friend’s house. In the morning, we started to hear noise and screams coming from the street. As we looked out the window, we saw a fire engine. Surprisingly, on the Magirus stairs was my boyfriend with a bouquet of flowers in his hands, proposing in a way that everyone could hear. I wanted to make an unusual proposal, so I invited my parents and in-laws to a baseball game. During the game, a stadium employee came up to us and handed us a basket with three baseballs, autographed by our team’s stars. I knelt down and handed the basket to my girlfriend. We went to our favorite band’s concert. After the performance, my boyfriend took me backstage to ask for autographs. Security wouldn’t let us in. I was surprised when a producer from the band specially came to take us away from that huge line of fans and lead us straight to the dressing room. Finally, I was in front of my idols, commenting on the show, taking pictures. A few years ago, when we went to Disney, my girlfriend and I witnessed the following scene: a street artist painting a portrait of a couple and a small sign on the table asking “Silence! Don’t spoil the surprise.” The painting did not match what we spectators saw, because the couple was standing still and the painter portrayed a young man kneeling with a ring in his hands saying “Will you marry me?” So, the artist turned the canvas and the boy actually knelt down, took a ring from his pocket, just like the one in the painting, and the girl responded emotionally “Yes!”.
