The Last on Earth (2015)

After a terrible disaster that decimated life on Earth, only Ann and her dog seem to have survived in the entire world. The girl has already learned to live with total loneliness when, suddenly, two men appear out of nowhere. The guys get into a fight to have the last woman on Earth, and it won’t end well.

In the book that inspired the movie, Ann meets only one man. Therefore, those who read the original story can expect many surprises.

A Certain Look (2006)

Alex is visiting Canada to meet the mother of his late child. On the way, he decides to give young Vivienne a ride, who is going to visit her mother. But they have an accident and the young passenger dies. The man decides to go after Vivienne’s mother, but when he finds her, he discovers that the woman suffers from autism and realizes that she doesn’t show any reaction when she learns that her daughter has died. Even so, Alex decides to stay until the funeral, where he meets Maggie. A woman who will change your life completely.

Despite the melancholy tenor of the first few minutes, the film promises unexpected twists that cause great emotions.

Sending Bullet (2007)

The main character witnesses an attack on a pregnant woman and finds himself with a newborn in his arms. As a good person, he feels obligated to save the baby from the people chasing his mother. And so, he will eventually uncover a criminal conspiracy that will bring a terrible truth to light.

The highlight of the film was the performance of Monica Bellucci, who appeared in a very unusual role. THE Clive Owen’s performance is also amazing.

housebound (2014)

Kylie will have to spend several months in the house where she was once happy. Boredom upon arrival is quickly replaced by fear: something strange is happening and the girl’s mother always blames the ghosts. Kylie already senses the presence of something, so she decides to start her own investigation.

The movie starts out like a typical horror movie. Then it turns into something mystical, and in the end, everything turns upside down. who liked The secret of the cabin will probably love the story.

Lo (2009)

This low-budget experimental movie might surprise you. A young man is willing to go to the depths of hell to find his beloved. To do so, he summons the terrible demon Lo. But the devil is in no hurry to fulfill his task; he wants to know more about the main characters’ relationship and the feelings of humans in general.

Even the most assiduous cinephile will hardly be able to predict the film’s final twist, which will dramatically change the impression of the story and make you look at the characters in an entirely different way.

Human: A Journey Through Life (2015)

This documentary involved more than 2 thousand people from 60 countries. Men and women from around the world talk about their lives, discussing topics such as love, corruption, the death penalty and age-old traditions. Together they try to answer the question of what it means to be human.

The characters’ monologues are interspersed with aerial images of Earth, showing the contrast between human problems and the immensity of our Planet.

The Fountain of Women (2011)

In a small village between North Africa and the Middle East, Islamic traditions are followed to the letter. One of the rules established that women are responsible for fetching water in a distant and difficult to access location, while men just enjoy life. Only one girl dared to go against tradition and gave the men of the village an ultimatum: if they don’t help with the function, the women will go on strike.

The film was selected for screening at the Cannes Film Festival. Most critics praised the film, although some criticized the story’s feminist tenor.

Shrew’s Nest (2014)

An exciting Spanish drama about the story of two orphaned girls. The younger one seems to have accepted her parents’ departure, while the older one is clearly in conflict with herself and the world around her. She is afraid to leave the apartment and keeps several secrets that will begin to be revealed when the upstairs neighbor unexpectedly enters the girls’ lives.

The movie is addictive and chilling. Merits to Macarena Gómez, the famous Spanish actress who played the older sister.

The 13 Sins (2014)

Elliot has a lot of problems and little money. However, everything can change after a phone call from a stranger asking him to complete 13 tasks, only to be paid handsomely in the end. The first task turned out to be very simple. But will the main character regret getting involved in this game?

Plot events unfold quickly, and some plot twists are so unexpected you’ll be stunned.

Burke & Hare (2010)

Two friends want to earn extra money by providing research material for scientists who study human anatomy. Soon, they decide to take the business to the next level and implement a plan that normal people wouldn’t even imagine. Along the way, the heroes don’t forget their sense of humor and their passion for beautiful women.

Although it seems absurd, the plot is based on real events. In the final scenes, a easter egg unexpected awaits you.

cyberbully (2015)

A shocking story about a girl who is a victim of internet blackmail. In the plot, the protagonist’s ex-boyfriend threatens to post his intimate photos on social media, but a mysterious anonymous person appears to solve the problem. The detail is that this person also started a dirty game, from which the heroine will hardly get rid of.

divine secrets (2002)

The plot constantly balances between a drama and an investigative story. The unpredictable ending will make you reflect on your own life.

The Devil of Every Day (2020)

A psychological thriller that is very worthwhile. A stunning film with a ruthless realism, capable of making anyone extremely uncomfortable. The plot revolves around a young boy who is trying hard not to become cruel like his father. However, this proves to be very difficult when everyone around him only does evil. And, it seems, soon, evil will dominate the entire city.

Robert Pattinson fans will have another reason to praise the actor’s versatility, including him as a villain.
