13 Celebs Who Decided To Give Their Children Non-Binary Names

However, in recent times, neuter names have become a trend as a way of not imposing a gender on the child, allowing them to define their own identity over time. That is, it is about giving a name that does not label the child as a boy or a girl.

In 2014, the first child of the couple formed by Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively arrived in the world, who decided to name the little one James. In an interview, the actor explained that the choice was a way to honor his father, who for years had been fighting a great battle against Parkinson’s disease.

All the children have been given names that are meaningful to their parents but totally neutral: North (8 years old), Saint (5 years old), Chicago (3 years old) and Psalm (2 years old).

Colombian singer Shakira and celebrated soccer player Gerard Piqué now have a solid relationship and two young children. The eldest of them is called Milan, while the youngest was named Sasha.

Another famous couple who chose a neutral name for their baby: singer Siddhartha and popular Mexican youtuber Yuya. The child was born a short time ago, and Yuya announced his arrival with the following words: “Sea is on land, and I am in the clouds”.

Currently, Camilo and Evaluna are in that sweet wait for the arrival of their first child. After a touching and emotional revelation posted on social media, the couple declared that the child will be named Indigo, regardless of her gender: “God has chosen us to be Indigo’s parents, and we feel very lucky to see her arrive. and bloom. Camilo, Evaluna and Indigo”.

Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell have two daughters, one of whom has been given a neutral name. The oldest, 8 years old, is called Lincoln.

August is a name more traditionally given to boys, but it’s actually neuter. Taking this into account, in addition to the meaning of the name, Mark and Priscilla chose him when it came to christening their second daughter.

There are three children of the couple formed by Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson, and two of them, more specifically the eldest, Maxwell, and the youngest, Birdie, 9 and 2 years old respectively, were given neutral names.
