12 Reasons to love Agnes Nunes, the girl from Paraíba who sings on the Internet and has over 1 million followers

Agnes Nunes is 16 years old and has emerged on the Internet as one of the biggest musical revelations of the moment. She started recording home videos, with voice and keyboard, and caught the attention of stars like Alok and Pabllo Vittar, who have already declared themselves to be her fans.

With a charming voice and irresistible accent, the girl born in Bahia and raised in Paraíba has already released some songs professionally. But she says that she intends to finish her studies before doing shows around the country.

Agnes started posting her homemade music videos in 2015. But it wasn’t until January 2019 that her Instagram account started to “bomb” madly. In February, she had around 600,000 fans. At the time of writing this post, Agnes has around 1.5 million followers, a number that could grow quite a bit from today to tomorrow.

Having a beautiful voice is a prize of nature. But Agnes goes further: she is very in tune and sings with a lot of feeling, as the video in which she plays naked, by James Arthur. As if that weren’t enough, she wanders through various musical styles without missing a beat.

“As I put a lot of feeling into what I do, it’s either to cry or to laugh. So people started identifying with the moment in their life, posting and sharing,” the singer said in a previous interview.

Agnes’ popularity grew a lot when some celebrities discovered her on the networks, commented and shared her videos with much praise. Actor Lázaro Ramos and singer Johnny Hooker are on the girl’s team of supporters. Pabllo Vittar and DJ Alok have already signaled that they intend to invite her to make musical partnerships.

Hip hop artist Xamã (pictured above) came out ahead and released a song featuring Agnes.

Agnes is signed to Bagua Records and has released two singles on streaming platforms, 100 per hour and Secret🇧🇷 Now an album full of songs is missing, to the delight of the fans.

“I don’t have much contact with my father, but he has worked in a band. I have an aunt who sings. My mother was once a singer. She sang in bars to earn money to support me. So, it’s not something from another world, I have a musical vein, yes,” said the girl in an interview with a portal.

Of course, invitations pour in for Agnes to perform live, but she prefers to be cautious and finish her fundamental studies before hitting the road. And the young woman guarantees that she gets good grades!

Even prioritizing her studies, Agnes has already given some presentations, such as the show at the Centro Cultural Banco do Nordeste, photographed above. Who posted the photo on Facebook was her doting mom, Maria Aparecida, who is managing the girl’s career.

Agnes was born in Feira de Santana, Bahia, but moved to Paraíba as a child. She lived in the sertão and now lives in Campina Grande. Her way of talking is a mixture of the places she’s been and she takes that charm everywhere.

“The first thing I notice about Agnes is her accent, which I think is the most beautiful thing. It’s not trying to hide and show it. That’s what makes someone’s career these days,” said Rodrigo Gorky, music producer for Pabllo Vittar.

In the video above she sings a song by Vital Farias that was successful in the voice of Elba Ramalho.

Agnes bets on the natural beauty of her curls. She says she takes special care of her hair and chooses the best creams to keep her beauty up to date.
