12 Details From “Grey’s Anatomy” That Not Everyone Knew

Gray’s Anatomy (yes, with “a”) is a book that many medical students are familiar with; some even consider it the “bible” of anatomy. Written by Henry Gray and illustrated by Henry Vandyke Carter, it was published in 1858 and is still widely used today. Shonda Rhimes, the creator of Grey’s Anatomy, was inspired by this work to finish deciding the name of the series. But so that the title wouldn’t be exactly the same, she decided to change a letter in the protagonist’s last name and decided to call her “Grey”.
