12 Celebrities who were caught by surprise with curious gifts in Secret Santa

When the month of December arrives, so do the classic year-end celebrations and traditions: socializing at work or with friends, Christmas, Christmas carols and the famous hidden (or secret) friend. The latter is, for many, a reason for disagreements, which many people prefer to avoid. However, Brazilian television channels annually promote the game with personalities from the house and guests to entertain their audience in a thematic way, taking advantage of the true meaning of the “game”: giving gifts to dear friends.

And like any exchange of gifts, some of the treats chosen by celebrities are somewhat curious — while some, despite the peculiarity, are quite accurate, others already leave the recipients at least awestruck

Actress Claudia Raia was unable to hide her surprise when opening the gift given by Susana Vieira as a joke in 2014. Wishing “a rain of blessings, affection and admiration”, Susana presented her with an orange umbrella, and Claudia said she loved the treat.

Actress Mel Maia, who was only 10 at the time, won a selfie stick from Bruno Gagliasso in the 2014 edition, in the hidden friend promoted annually by Fantástico. The little one was very excited about the gift, jumping with joy when opening it and saying that she really wanted to be able to take her own selfies.

Juliana Paes won an amethyst from Letícia Colin in the 2017 edition of Amigo Secreto do Fantástico. Despite looking purely decorative, the actress approved the gift and said it was her face. “Letícia, you couldn’t have chosen a better gift. I love natural stones. Master. And amethyst is full of axé, I know that ”, she thanked.

Another celebrity who won an energizing stone was Xuxa, in the 2018 secret friend, presented by Samara Felippo. And presenter Rodrigo Faro, at the time, amended a joke by uncle saying that it was the “crystal moon” (famous song by Xuxa) because of the format. The singer and presenter took advantage of the occasion to confirm that she is passionate about stones.

In the previous year, in 2017, Xuxa also seems to have been lucky: she won a picture frame with a photo in which she appears with her daughter Sasha and a coat, given by Ticiane Pinheiro. Which apparently meant a lot to the presenter, such is the sensitivity of the gift. Ticiane, in turn, gave a beautiful speech, honoring her secret friend.

One of the gifts that the actor Dudu Azevedo received from Camila Rodrigues left the participants of “Família Record” notoriously surprised. Camila gave three gifts in one: one of them being a salted caramel that she made herself — which was the first to be delivered and left the other colleagues apparently curious.

In 2018, Fernanda Gentil won a ping-pong kit from singer Elza Soares: a table with a net, rackets and balls. Apparently, the presenter loved it and so did her son. And well, apparently Elza guaranteed fun for the whole family!

The global secret friend of the year 2020 had the unusual presence of Cebolinha. Yes, the character from Monica’s gang! He presented Luísa Sonza with an illustration made by Maurício de Souza, in which Luiza herself appears with the character exchanges letters, as he called himself. In addition, the singer also received several products (such as socks, pillows, etc.) from the most famous comic book group in Brazil.

Likewise, Paulo Vieira also squandered creativity in the gift of the character Cebolinha. The comedian gave plane tickets to the whole gang and illustrated an infallible plan to distract Mônica, and Cebolinha to reach his main objective: to catch Samsão the rabbit. Too much, right?

Roberta Piza certainly had a different experience with the gift she received in 2019: a sound check by the band Camisa Nova. In addition, Renata Alves also presented her with musical items such as drumsticks, a case for them and headphones. The presenter nailed the treats as the journalist is passionate about music and plays the drums.

The gift received by Dilsinho is curious to say the least: a huge pillow. Raquel Motta, an artisan who became known for the “three reais” meme, researched the singer thoroughly and discovered that he only sleeps with a lot of pillows. The choice, despite being different, couldn’t be more accurate: Dilsinho loved it! He was even presented with a chocolate-filled matrioska and with him drawn in place of the traditional Russian doll.

In 2016, journalist Luiz Bacci surprised and moved all participants of Record’s hidden friend when he presented Ana Hickmann with a rescued puppy, Fanny. The presenter is passionate about animals and has four more dogs (Zhee, Ramona, Dollar and Tiozinho), two cockatiels (Tinker Bell and Rocky) and a rabbit (Bolinha).
