18 Things Many Think Are The Same, But Are Totally Different

Mistaking bananas for plantains or a Golden Retriever for a Labrador might not seem like a big deal at first. But thinking that two things are similar, when they are not, can cause some problems. For example, you might be very disappointed if you were offered a macaron, but were given a coconut cookie instead. Knowing the correct meaning of things can not only simplify your life, but also turn you into an expert who can easily win any argument.

We, from awesome.club, we were surprised to discover that some common things can have different meanings that we didn’t know! We look forward to sharing our findings with you.

Frogs have shorter legs compared to frogs because they don’t have to jump as much as frogs do. They also have thick skin that is neither covered in mucus nor as smooth as frog skin.

Llamas are much larger than alpacas and have very long, curled ears. Alpacas are herd animals, while llamas have a more independent and individualistic nature.

Tortoises and tortoises may look similar at first glance, but their living habits are quite different. Turtles prefer water and can live both on land and in water. Tortoises live on land and do not swim.

In contrast, ketchup is always a mixture of tomato, vinegar, sugar and spices. Tomato sauce can be served hot, while ketchup is always served cold or at room temperature.
