11 Times Princess Diana Wore The Same Remodeled Outfits And No One Realized

Although the concept of sustainable consumption is increasingly conquering the world, most celebrities and authorities still follow a kind of unstated rule: don’t go out in the same outfit twice. But Princess Diana, already in the now distant 1980s, with her characteristic “rebel” spirit, violated the commandments of “royal fashion”, appearing repeatedly in public in the same outfit. But she did it so perfectly that each time the look it looked new.

we, from awesome.clubwe really admire Lady Di’s sense of style and decided to look at some of the tricks she used to give her look a new face.

1.

Diana used to renew her evening dresses. A notable example of this is the delicate purple dress that she first wore at a gala banquet in Kuwait in 1989. After three years, the princess completely redone the costume, replacing the voluminous skirt with a straight, elegant lilac-toned one.

As a true fashionista, Lady Di knew how important it was to have basic pieces in her wardrobe. For example, she skillfully paired this polka dot dress with a red blazer.

And here with a pullover. Notice that the princess complemented the look with patterned socks and red pumps that matched the dress.

3.

For her maternity discharge with her firstborn, Prince William, Diana chose a green polka dot dress paired with fuchsia ballerinas.

But few people noticed that the princess had already appeared in this dress during her pregnancy, having attended a polo match just two weeks before delivery, wearing white open-toed shoes.

4.

Four years later, she appeared in the same coat, only this time she had swapped her belt for buttons and wore red accessories.

5.

In 1983, during one of the events of her official visit to Australia, the princess showed off a light pink floor-length dress, decorated with many ruffles. After three years, she put the outfit back on, removing the ruffles and redoing the sleeves and skirt.

6.

In April 1983, Diana chose a white patterned blouse with voluminous sleeves and a black skirt to visit the University of Adelaide.

And, in August of the same year, he showed the same blouse again in public, but with the white bottom.

7.

It’s amazing how just a small detail or accessory can change a look whole. In one year, Princess Diana appeared twice in a pleated midi skirt and a structured jacket with a black collar. In the first version, she complemented the look with a clutch bag and a pearl necklace, and in the second look she wore an elegant white hat.

8.

The sets can be used either whole or separately. And Diana used to use this trick a lot. In 1981, a month before her wedding, she attended the Wimbledon final wearing a blue floral ensemble.

Four years later, the already-married Lady Di again opted for the same floral-print skirt, complementing it with a pale blouse with puffed sleeves.

9.

For one of the official events in 1986, the princess chose a white polka-dot print dress that was popular at the time.

10.

In October 1995, during a visit to Birmingham, Lady Di looked stunning wearing an elegant two-piece suit.

And, in December of the same year, he wore the suit again, but this time with a black velvet scarf and a pearl necklace.

11.

Diana first appeared in a two-piece tweed suit in 1990 at Princess Eugenie’s christening, and completed the look with a veiled hat and black gloves. After two years, the outfit shined again thanks to a small detail: Lady Di, imperceptibly, changed the ribbon that adorned the coat.
