11 new uses for the empty glass jar

Did you empty the pot of olives or hearts of palm? No throwing them in the trash. First, wash them well. Then turn them into super useful and cute objects. They can become vases, appetizer holders, candle holders, cutlery holders and even organizers for beauty or sewing items.

I’m the biggest fan of creative insights like this. I often say that giving new functions to objects is the coolest thing, as it brings personality to the decoration of the environment.

The other day, I suggested to a friend, who would receive guests at her house, to intersperse these glass pots with flowers along the entire length of the table, forming a charming centerpiece. She told me the next day that the guests noticed and were surprised by the originality of that composition. Below, I teach you how to assemble an arrangement like this – and even customize your pot.

By putting these ideas into practice, we avoid waste (the environment thanks you!), and, in addition, we create decorative and functional objects for the home. Get inspired by the images below!

1. Take advantage of the glass to plant herbs and create a compact and original vegetable garden. It is certain that they will stay fresh longer than if they were in the fridge.

two. Good and cheap option to gift someone special. The kraft finish on the lid adds extra charm to the glass cookie jar. It also goes for storing them at home after opening.

3. Water, rechaud candle and glass pot is what you need to reproduce this idea. Decorates (and lights up, of course!) the centerpiece, side table or bistro. Finish off with a sisal or raffia bow or knot at the “mouth” of the pot.

4. Empty glasses can be turned into hanging vases. Tie satin ribbon (or something firmer) to the “mouth of the pot”, as shown in the photo, and create a hanging garden.

5. Use the glass as a vase and secure it with a metal clamp to a piece of wood, which will act as a frame.

6. Cotton swab and cotton can gain new containers.

7. A new way to organize spices: in pots. Paste sticky tags with each one’s name. This makes it easy to identify them!

8. Any arrangement of flowers is valid – mixed or of a single type. The special tip here is to customize the pot with a strip of lace, jute or scrap fabric of your choice. (It was one like that I suggested to my friend in the episode I commented on at the opening of this post!).

9🇧🇷 Look how olive pots accommodate straws with grace. At the end, a piece of jute with a ribbon bow on top.

10. Glasses tied with fabric accommodate cutlery in an American service.

11🇧🇷 Small pots are ideal for serving seasonings, sauces and pestos on receiving days at home.
