10 “Titanic” Mistakes We Had To Look Closely To Realize

Although almost 24 years have passed since its premiere, the film Titanic does not seem to have gone out of style and is still a reference in modern cinema, both for the story told and for the many awards it has received. However, despite the great success, this super production also made some mistakes that not everyone noticed.

O awesome.club decided to create another list of mistakes present in the film that only the most attentive eyes can see. Check it out if you also noticed these production slips.

1. The disappearing crowd

At the beginning of the film there are thousands of people in the port, saying goodbye to friends and seeing who is boarding the Titanic. However, during the scene where Jack and Fabrizio, played by Danny Nucci, play cards to try to win tickets and be able to board, we can see the ship through the window, but not the people. What happened to them?

We don’t have an answer to that question, but what we do know is that the crowd reappears in the harbor when Jack and Fabrizio board the ship.

2. The lake that Jack mentions only existed 5 years later

3. The bow of the ship transforms

As you will see later, the film set had many logistical and design errors. An example is how the mute bow in the different sockets. In the scene where Leonardo DiCaprio gets emotional seeing the dolphins, the bow is quite different from the one that appears in the iconic romantic moment when Jack and Rose are together.

4. Rose’s nail size changes

We know that filming for the movie lasted several months, so it’s completely natural that actress Kate Winslet’s fingernails grew. But the problem is that in the life of the character Rose, only a few days pass. In certain scenes we can see the actress with short nails and, a while later, they appear much longer.

5. Jack and the Disappearing Suspender

It’s true that the scene where Rose breaks Jack’s handcuffs and frees him has a lot of mistakes. One is continuity and it’s pretty obvious. At a certain point, we can see Jack’s suspender straps🇧🇷 in the sequel, when Rose appears, they are no longer there. The same thing happens in other scenes. Perhaps it would have been better not to include the prop in the costume.

6. Jack’s hair combs itself

7. The drawing line is not the same

The scene where Jack draws Rose melted the hearts of thousands of viewers. With emotions running high, it was probably hard to understand what drawing error🇧🇷 The first line Jack draws is quite thick. Some time later, when the drawing reappears, there is no trace of her. The lines are much finer and the technique looks much more accurate.

8. The Folder That Just Disappears

And there is another continuity error that involves the discord drawing. Cal, the man Rose intended to marry, discovers the drawing in a brown folder. At a certain point, he takes the folder and is completely irritated, wanting to destroy it. The most curious thing is that from one hour to another the folder is simply not there anymorewe only see Cal’s hand and the crumpled sheet.

9. The camera’s reflection

In 1997, when the film was recorded, the technology was not like it is today, so several cameras were needed to record images of the actors, from the most different angles. In one pass, you can see the reflection of one of them, in the glass of one of the doors of the Titanic. It is an error that is easy to notice and also to edit, with the programs we have today.

10. The chimney also transforms

Despite the mistakes, we cannot deny that Titanic is a great story that moved and continues to move many people. What is your favorite scene from this production? Tell us in the comments!
