Every meeting has a goal. Still, it’s normal for people to come and go because nothing in this world is permanent. There will always be a time of loss and moving on – no matter how you choose to hold on to them.

You come into contact with people either for a season or for a lifetime. And sometimes God can remove them when He wants you to move into a new chapter of life. So, contrary to what others suspect, when they get separated from you, it is no coincidence.

However, it is human nature to cling to people we love and care about. That is why it is normal to feel pain. To move faster, it is best to trust God’s reason. It could be one of these:

1. God has a divine plan to fulfill.

God has a divine plan for you. Therefore, He will either bring people to you or remove them from your life. The Lord allows them to be with you for a time. In the meantime, it’s to your advantage that he takes them away when this season is finally over.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 says, “There is a time for everything and a time for every activity under heaven”

From the moment you surrendered your life to God, you gave Him permission to do His will and accomplish His purpose for you. Hence, he will remove anyone or anything that might hinder the fulfillment of his ultimate plan for your life.

2. Your relationship with them might have turned toxic.

This world is full of toxic people and it is inevitable not to encounter them every day. You may hardly notice how they secretly envy or dislike you. Or they could have become a bad influence without you realizing it.

So when God removes people from your life, it is because He knows they are poison to you. He sees the heart and knows what problems these people could cause you. He also knows her secret thoughts and feelings towards you. That’s why He wants to keep you away from a toxic relationship.

3. They may not be right for you.

Sometimes you get busy hanging on to the wrong people. Instead of building you up, they pull you down. This is because they want to be in control and are constantly manipulating things.

God sees not only the beginning but the end of every story. So if he knows that some people are not right for you, he will allow them to be removed from your life.

4. You have become dependent on someone other than God.

God wants you to depend on Him and not on people. Remember that he is a jealous god. Anyone you prioritize over Him is considered your idol. So don’t put anyone above Him. As your creator, he deserves to be the first in your life.

Exodus 34:14 says, “For thou shalt worship no other god, for the Lord, whose name is jealousy, is a jealous God—”

God tests every relationship before removing anyone from your life. So don’t get angry when He wants to separate you from these people. Perhaps they distracted you from your devotion to the Lord.

5. God wants to bring in someone else.

Removing a person from your life can be a sign that God wants to bring someone else in. In other words, this can be His way of making room for another person who may need you more, and vice versa.

Also note that with each removal there is an addition. Therefore, it is to your advantage when God makes room for you to meet someone else.

6. God wants you to stay focused.

Your relationships with other people may have caused some distractions. For example, a toxic relationship with someone might have shifted your focus from God to worldly things.

God wants you to be with him. He wants you to make Him your priority too. He loves you so much and doesn’t like to let go of you. So never lose sight of His ultimate plan for your life by focusing on Him.

7. God has another plan for you.

God has a plan for all of us – including the people he removes from your life. Sometimes it’s hard to understand why he does this, especially when the person is a good friend or someone dear to you.

However, everything happens for a reason. So trust in God that He has another purpose for the person He removes from your life.

8. It’s time the relationship ended.

There are times when you need to stop clinging to people because it’s about time the relationship was over. Some people come and go, and not all relationships will last. Learn to get on with your life without her.

For example, you should forgive your ex if he cheated on you because you are a Christian. But that doesn’t mean everything will go back to normal. Sometimes you need to forgive from afar, especially when the person is already making you miserable.

9. Rejection could be God’s protection.

There are various reasons why God puts people into your life. And no matter how good you are to others, there will always be people who don’t like you. Not everyone around you wants to see you get up when you’re down. Therefore, when others reject you, consider it God’s protection.

Psalm 121:7 says, “The Lord will protect you from every evil; He will keep your soul.”

So, if you didn’t do anything wrong to get rejected by people and they left you anyway, then maybe it’s God’s work. He probably knew they weren’t going to be a good influence on you or hurt you in one way or another. So just be thankful for circumstances you don’t understand.

10. God has better things in store for you.

God’s plans are far better than yours. He knows what tomorrow may bring. You may not know what will happen the next day, but remember the One who holds your future. Therefore, do not ask anyone to stay if God has already decided to remove that person from your life.

Also, don’t be upset or sad because God has something better in store for you. Instead, acknowledge your loss as a blessing in disguise.

Understand the reasons why God removes people from your life

God has a purpose for everything that happens in your life. Trust him because he knows what he is doing. He allows both good and bad to fulfill his divine plan.

Also, if you love God, you know that He orchestrates things for your own good. That is why you must trust him and continue to see his goodness in every situation.

Romans 8:28 says, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, those who are called according to his purpose.”

Therefore, do not ignore the signs that God is trying to show you. It is not wise to hold on to people He wants removed from your life. Ultimately, you’ll be better off without them.
