10 Pairs of actors who could revive famous couples from soap operas if they were produced today

It is not new that the audiovisual market has been betting on so-called remakes to retell stories that were successful in the past. In the Hollywood industry, for example, these adaptations have become increasingly common, but they are not exclusive to Americans. Here in Brazil, only in recent years, remarkable TV plots, such as we were six and Ti-Ti-Ti, got updated versions.

With that in mind, the team at awesome.club decided to play a joke. We decided to imagine our own remakes from famous soap operas, casting new generation actors who could play unforgettable couples on the small screen. Check out!

The romance lived by the characters of Letícia Spiller and Marcello Novaes won over the public and ended up moving from fiction to reality. The two, who engaged in a relationship while filming the plot, had a son, also actor Pedro Novaes.

Therefore, we believe that the young man is the ideal name to revive Raí in a possible remake from the classic 1994 soap opera. After all, who better than the official heir to continue his father’s legacy? Our chosen one to embody the new Babalu is the actress Barbara França. The blonde, who has striking blue eyes like Letícia Spiller, would be able to do the job!

Ruth had to face the cruelties of her own twin sister, the evil Raquel, in order to be able to live happily with Marcos. The unforgettable protagonist couple of Sand women, a hit in 1993, was performed by Gloria Pires and Guilherme Fontes. But who could represent them if the plot gained a new version these days?

As for the role of the good guy (and the clone), the young Daniel Rangel, who exudes the same heartthrob charm as Murilo Benício, is our chosen one.

How can one forget Adriana Esteves and Eduardo Moscovis in the skin of the fun duo Catarina and Petruchio? The protagonists of The Carnation and the Rose they were always at odds, but deep down, they were in love with each other. The romantic comedy, with all the charm of a good period soap opera, was shown by Globo in the early 2000s. And today, what would happen if the network decided to produce a new version?

There would probably be a dispute over the roles of the main couple. And we, of course, would already have some guesses. Regina Duarte and Lima Duarte, two acting veterans, were irreparable. But have you ever stopped to think about who could play these characters so beloved by the public if they decided to remake the telenovela?

We try to imagine! Deborah Secco, a multifaceted actress who moves very well between drama and comedy, is our chosen one to play the unforgettable Viúva Porcina. We can even imagine her wearing the costumes of Asa Branca’s “saint”. As for the role of Sinhozinho Malta, we think that the charismatic Alexandre Borges, who has played other flashy types on the small screen, would be the ideal actor.

In The color of sin, a 2004 production, Taís Araújo and Reynaldo Gianecchini conquered Brazil as Preta and Paco, the protagonist couple who faced prejudice to live their love. The plot was one of the great successes of that year and, thanks to the unforgettable characters, it was etched in the memory of many people.

In our remake imagined, we cast two young actors to play the main romantic couple. The beautiful Aline Dias, who has been mending jobs at Globo, is our choice for the role of the Black heroine. Paco’s vacancy would be in charge of Chay Suede, one of the most requested talents by soap opera authors in recent years.

Chocolate with pepper, one of the most remarkable soap operas of the six o’clock time slot, was the most successful on TV from 2003 to 2004.
