10 Movies and series whose work to choose the costumes was meticulous, but even so there were mistakes

Actors’ clothing is one of those extremely important things, so a lot of money is invested in trying to avoid mistakes that become visible. Throughout the series it is implied that Melisandre’s character is not able to take off her necklace, as this is what allows her to remain young. However, in the episode called Mockingbird, this character appears taking a shower without any concern for not wearing the necklace.

When Thor manages to make Bruce Banner take control of his body, they begin to walk in a festival in honor of the Hulk and throw a kind of green powder that is on Bruce’s face and clothes. But just a scene later it is possible to see how the shirt that was full of green powder appears completely white again.

In this film appears the famous Peggy, the true love of Captain America. Although care was taken to choose a hairstyle for the actress according to the time, there was an error in a small detail: women who were part of the army in the 1940s had to tie their hair up to make their neck visible, a rule that Peggy forgot to fulfill.

Apparently, although it is a series full of designer clothes with different scenarios, in which luxury is also shown when dressing, there can be terrible mistakes. In this case, one of the girls at this party forgot to wear one of the shoes, that’s right, just one of them.

During Maximus Tenth’s battle against Tigris of Gaul, it is possible to see, when he turns around on the ground, that underneath his clothes he wears lycra. Which is curious, since at that time this material did not exist. In this way, the costumes do not match the time of the film’s setting.

The costumes in that film didn’t call much attention, because most of the time we were on the edge of the seat, such was the tension. However, if we pay attention to some scenes, we can see that Rick is sometimes wearing a band on his wrist, but moments later, he appears without it.

In the scene where Mia and Sebastian argue on the road, it is possible to see that he wears a brown shirt, but that same shirt turns blue when he appears with his sister and turns back to brown a scene later. The error was so egregious that director Damien Chazelle even admitted it in the film’s audio commentary.

Undoubtedly, one of the most obvious mistakes seen on the big screen is noticing familiar objects that appear in the middle of a film whose setting is different, as happened with some UGG boots.

In all the films of this saga, the famous redcoats are present as those responsible for enforcing the law. But due to the time the saga is based on (1707) we can see that only a few years later did these uniforms appear.

In this film, it is curious that, although they tried to highlight the time in which the story takes place (1858), one of the protagonists wears dark glasses. As rude as it sounds, this is a wardrobe error, as sunglasses were first mass-produced in 1929, so it’s very unlikely that he wore glasses, let alone as stylish as these.
