Historic celebrities carry their fans around for eternity, so to speak. Their legacies are revived and remembered with taste, affection and emotion. They are responsible for keeping their country’s culture and history burning, in addition to carrying nostalgia with them.

Our great Elis Regina was considered by many to be the best Brazilian singer of all time. His beautiful and huge smile was a trademark, along with his arms raised. Her daughter, Maria Rita, couldn’t go any other way and continued her mother’s legacy with a beautiful voice and dazzling smile.

The name Hebe comes from Greek mythology and means “Youth”. Just like the meaning of her name, the queen of Brazilian television Hebe Camargo carried with her the ideal of not letting herself down, of always moving forward. As a form of tribute, her son Marcelo created the Café com Selinho program, a YouTube channel aimed at keeping his mother’s memory alive.

José Mojica was an actor and film director, better known as Zé do Caixão because of his most famous character. His ideas were not well accepted by the national critics, but gained repercussions in the international cult scene. His daughter, Liz Marins, followed the artistic path and today works as a filmmaker, writer, actress and TV presenter. She is also the creator and performer of the character Liz Vamp.

Master Antônio Carlos Jobim was a composer, conductor, singer, guitarist, a true complete musician. If you’ve ever heard the song “Garota de Ipanema” in your life, then you can measure the size of its legacy. His daughter Maria Jobim could not do without the musicality that runs through her veins and also pursued a singing career.

The Caymmi family is loved by many. Dorival showed Bahia to the world, wrote more than 100 compositions, and released around 20 albums in his 60-year career. Dinahir Tostes Caymmi, better known as Nana Caymmi, is the result of a relationship between two singers. Raised in a musical environment, she followed this path at an early age.

Daughter of a housewife and a military man, she began her professional life as a mason’s servant at the age of 19. From that, Cássia Rejane Eller achieved her independence and with dedication and a lot of sacrifice, she became one of the greatest representatives of national rock in the 90s. Cássia had an only son, Francisco Ribeiro Eller, affectionately nicknamed Chico — who did not deny his origin and also pursues a singing career.

Granddaughter of Luiz Gonzaga, daughter of Gonzaguinha and niece of Marília Pêra, Amora has talent in her veins. Despite having dreamed of being a gymnast, she confessed that she was always on stage and sang with her family. So following that path was something extremely natural.

Tarsilinha is the great-niece of the painter who changed the artistic landscape of Latin America Tarsila do Amaral, known for her famous work “Abaporu”. She said she has been involved with artworks throughout her life, first as an avid admirer of her artistry and, more recently, as the manager of the intellectual property rights related to her legacy and works.

Alexandre Magno Abrão, also known as Chorão, was a singer-songwriter, founding member of the band Charlie Brown Jr., considered “the closest thing to a punk hero that Brazilian mainstream music has ever had”. His son, Alexandre Ferreira, enchanted his followers on his Instagram profile with a small tribute to his father.

Vivi Seixas inherited her taste for music from her father Raul Seixas, but the chosen segment was very different: she replaced her rock career with that of a DJ. Known nationally and internationally, Vivi was awarded as the best female Deep House and Nu Disco DJ in 2015.
