X-rays taken of Grace Kelly’s wedding shoes reveal a little-known fact about the Princess of Monaco

It’s been over 60 years since American actress Grace Kelly married Prince Rainier III of Monaco. Still, there are several mysteries involving that beautiful woman. Recently, one of them was accidentally revealed when Grace’s wedding shoes were x-rayed.

We, from incredible.club, we were very interested in knowing what secrets the princess’s footwear hides. Therefore, we delve into the subject and bring all our findings in this article. Follow!

How it all began

The couple met in 1955, when Grace Kelly landed in Europe to attend the Cannes Film Festival, along with other members of the North American delegation. There, she was invited to pose in a photo shoot alongside Prince Rainier III. The work suffered several postponements, happening only on May 6, 1955.

That’s when the prince saw the American actress for the first time, immediately falling in love with her. Yes, it was love at first sight. The prince was absolutely enchanted by such beauty.

After a year of exchanging letters and getting to know the blonde better, Rainier traveled to Philadelphia with the intention of asking his parents for Grace’s hand in marriage.

Despite that being a difficult decision, considering that their daughter would live in a country far from her homeland, Grace Kelly’s parents agreed.

Prince Rainier then married Grace Kelly in 1956. The first civil ceremony took place in the Throne Room of the Prince’s Palace of Monaco. A day later, the religious celebration took place and the place chosen for that was the Cathedral of São Nicolau.

a secret is revealed

There is another item, however, that deserves our attention: Grace Kelly’s wedding shoes. As it turns out, they hide a secret. Specialists decided to submit them to an X-ray session. And a round object was found under the sole of the right foot.

The object was a copper coin that was sewn into the piece. Scholars believe the item was placed there as a good luck charm. The princess decided to keep the tradition of hiding a coin inside the shoe and, apparently, asked the shoemaker to keep the object away from all eyes.

Did the trick really work?

Whether because of the hidden coin or the power of love, the two had a beautiful life together. They had three children and lived happily for the rest of their lives.

Do you know any other tricks to put into practice at the wedding ceremony to attract good luck? How about leaving a comment telling what they are?
