Why the couple Adriana Esteves and Vladimir Brichta chose to live away from social networks

Living away from social media can be unimaginable for many people. In the world of celebrities, who have turned the digital universe into a profession, having a profile with thousands of followers has also become synonymous with financial success. Some celebrities, however, prefer to ensure that their privacy always comes first. This is the case of Adriana Esteves and Vladimir Brichta, two great talents loved by the public, who chose not to expose their personal lives on the internet. But why did the couple make this decision?

Today the awesome.club will tell the reasons that led the actors to keep their routine well away from the eyes of Internet users. Quietly, they’ve talked about the pros and cons of adopting a “no Wi-Fi” lifestyle. Follow!

Together since 2003, when they started dating backstage on the soap opera Kubanacan, Adriana Esteves and Vladimir Brichta have always led their personal lives very privately. The actors, who got married three years later, are not often involved in controversy and remain relevant in the media thanks to their artistic talent. Nationally known for their work on TV and cinema, the lovebirds could take advantage of the internet’s reach to bring them closer to the public or invest in advertising campaigns. Still, they prefer not to risk it.

In an interview with the Trip FM podcast, Vladimir explained why he chose to live “outside the coverage area”: “I know I lose some things, even financially, because, if you have a lot of visibility, you can monetize it. It is also a communication channel to talk to people and publicize my work. This all made me think about the possibility of having a social network. But I also felt that I would have to feed it with something that is valuable to me, my privacy. And I didn’t want to pay that price.”

For Adriana, social networks can stoke the ego: “I think it can develop a narcissistic side in the person, and I wouldn’t want to feed this pet of mine”, said the veteran in an interview with Gshow. The actress points out that she is not opposed to new platforms, she just chose to stay away from this universe: “I don’t feel the need. I really like the internet, the access we have to everything. But I wouldn’t want to get into it, I’m too afraid of enslaving myself”, she added.

Collecting prominent roles, Vladimir stressed that a successful career in acting should not be based on the popularity of an influencer on social networks: “If you have a large engagement, you can even have a very successful season and sell out concert halls Brazil outside. But first: that doesn’t make you an actor. And second: that doesn’t make a career. It’s stupid to cast someone to do a play, a soap opera or a movie because that person has a lot of followers”, said the Globo star.

The actor recognized that, as he already has a consolidated name, he can choose to remain offline: “Does a young artist nowadays need to have a social network? Probably yes. If I was starting my career now, I would.” Vladimir also defends that the number of followers of a celebrity does not define the success of a project, whether in cinema, on stage or on television: “Social networks do not belong to this same universe. I will continue to believe in this because, otherwise, I will need to have a social network to work, ”he said.

Adriana, in an interview with Veja Rio magazine, commented on casting tests that require actors to have thousands of followers: “It makes you want to laugh, such a prerequisite is absurd”. The interpreter of Carminha, from Avenida Brasil, said that, if she were starting to work, she would have to bet on another profession: “I couldn’t start an acting career nowadays. I don’t even have Instagram.

For Vladimir, staying away from these platforms also protects him from negative comments: “That lowest place of criticism, which you will find on social networks due to anonymity, I can’t find it. Judgment doesn’t come to me, but I’m sure people do.”

In times when affectionate relationships are measured by public statements on social networks, or the relevance of a personality is measured by the number of likes on a photo, Adriana Esteves and Vladimir Brichta are examples of how to continue building a successful career and preserve a happy marriage without having to resort to virtual engagement.
