One of these days I came across two colleagues commenting on a couple who lived hand in hand and that the boy always caressed her hands, praised her in front of the others. For them it was unnecessary. I heard that with some discomfort after all, I’m one of those who says she loves him at least 10 times a day, I send him a message saying I miss him and I’m at the door anxiously waiting for him to arrive.

We live in a generation of disinterested people. Who likes it, doesn’t show it. Out of fear, out of shame, out of pride. Honestly, this game of those who show less has only one destination: the end. There is no supporting relationship. The relationship gets boring, wears out.

I grew up watching my dad make coffee every morning for my mom, even though he doesn’t like coffee. Love is in the little things, in the little gestures. Saying I love you is easy. It’s hard to really love. Love in moments of pain and anguish.

Who loves, cares. Who loves, shows. Who loves wants to be together. Who loves misses. Who loves cries for the pain of the other. Who loves celebrates together. Who loves wants to make the other happy. Those who love make plans for two, not individually. Who loves praises. Lovers apologize. Who loves tries. Who loves insists. Who loves gives in. Who loves is not ashamed. Who loves hugs. Who loves kisses. Who loves smiles with their lips, smiles with their eyes, smiles with their soul. Who loves really smiles.

Who loves doesn’t care what others think. What they think is their problem. Don’t be part of this generation of disinterested. Make a difference in someone’s life. express. Don’t hide. Our life is too short, live intensely.

And remember: demonstrating is not proving. When we are truly loved, we know, we feel.
