Two Brazilian ladies celebrate 30 years of friendship with matching, laid-back tattoos

Anyone over 35 or 40 knows how difficult it is to reach that age with the same childhood or high school friends. As much as we make promises never to lose touch with our colleagues from these incredible times, it is practically inevitable that life will tear us apart, unfortunately. The paths that life lays out, whether in the personal or professional sphere, tend to distance friends who were once inseparable.

But that’s not what happened to the protagonists of our post today, two Brazilian ladies who met 30 years ago and thought of a creative and original way to consecrate such a lasting friendship.

Think of a beautiful way to mark a great friendship. You could look at old photos and reminisce about stories or give your best friend memorable gifts and hugs. But how do you keep those memories alive for the rest of your life? That’s right, with a tattoo!

And that’s exactly what they did. The two ladies decided to get matching tattoos of two American glasses with beer smiling, holding hands. The photo was shared by the grandson of one of the ladies, a tattoo artist from Campinas, interior of São Paulo, explaining that the chosen image symbolizes the things that the two love to do the most: to talk, while having a beer. A lighthearted way to celebrate friendship, mutual support and joy.

This story moved many people because, as we said, it’s not easy to establish a friendship and maintain it after so many years. We hope that all of our readers can find someone they can trust and share the most important moments of their lives with, both the good and the bad.
