Psalm for Thursday: 27

1. The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
2. When the evil ones, my adversaries and my enemies, came against me to eat my flesh, they stumbled and fell.
3. Even if an army surrounded me, my heart would not fear; Even if war were to rise against me, I would trust in this.

“Lord Jesus Christ, bring into this house: endless charity, serene joy, beneficent charity, lasting health.

Let the evil angels leave and the Angels Bringing Peace come. May all discord disappear from this house.

Manifest in us the power of your Holy Name and bless this house. In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Lord, Jesus, who in your home have never known any kind of disunity, we ask for unity in our homes and families. Make us promoters of reconciliation and ambassadors of peace among our own!

Protect our families from jealousy and envy, from lies and discord, from accusations and disagreements. Help our family, through the intercession of Our Lady and Saint Joseph, freeing them from fights and betrayals. Jesus, Mary and Joseph, our family is yours. Amen.”
